I am needing to make a diagram with circles and arrows for my Operations Management class homework. What program in Microsoft Office would be best suited to do this? The circles must have text in them and above the and some of the arrow lines must be dotted and some are not. What is the easiest and best program under MS Office to do this.

From the basic Office suite, I'd got with Powerpoint.

The Drawing toolbar in Word should be able to do most if not all of those things. (I cant remember if you can make dotted lines but it would seem like you should be able to)

I am also going to have to list other information as well and print this off and turn it in.

I'd recommend Visio. It may not be in your version of Office though. If not, then I'd agree with Powerpoint.

Visio looks like it is perfect. Too bad I don't have it. :(

I am having trouble doing it in both Word and Poerpoint.

Create it in your paint program, and then insert as image in your Word document.

Try Gliffy. It looks like it can do what you want.

I do those kind of things in Word (very easy), I never did those in Power Point, and I dont have Visio.

I used Gliffy, what Vengeance suggested above. Worked well.

PowerPoint all the way...if all you have is MSOffice.

You can use Word...and Excel for that matter, but sheeesh, why make it hard on yourself.

If you like, send me a jpeg or your version in ppt of what you need and I'll give you a hand.

    Quark is what you need.

But not having that and only using the Microsoft suite, yeah, I'd go with PP or word.

It's what I do all day...

Like RR said, if you got a question or get stuck, let us know.

see if your school offers Visio as part of their free software package.
the McCombs school at UT-Austin gives away Visio and MS Office online.

Visio is the standard diagramming tool... but Gliffy could work as well as Dia.
I suggest you find a way to snag a free copy of Visio somehow - it's really good.

Wait they give that stuff away if you're a business student? Where do you go to get that stuff.
