Now here's a wierd one: Michigan is holding a Democratic Primary that doesn't count and a Republican Primary next Tuesday, January 15. Only Clinton, Kucinich, Dodd, and Gravel are on the Deomacratic ticket in Michigan, and Obama is telling his supporters to vote "uncomitted". Other odd things: As expected, since Michigan is an open primary state, there are a huge number of Democrats asking for Republican ballots. More suprisingly, there are a small but significant number of Republicans asking for meaningless Democratic ballots. But perhaps the most interesting news is this story: A PAC called Downsize DC is running radio ads in Michigan in support of Ron Paul's American Freedom Agenda Act, which ends all of the Civil Liberties and Privacy Violations that the Bush Administration has been doing, and cripples the signing statements he's been using.
