Palin and Bachman just happen to be idiots. The fact that they have no idea what they are talking about, and are wrong time and time again is what makes them detested, not their religion. For the record I don't detest either of them. They are just clueless, and spout off when they have no idea what they are talking about.
You hate them because they are Christians first and foremost. Anti-Christian bigotry is as ugly as any other kind of bigotry. Bigotry is an abomination which needs to be purged from our nation and our world forever. I am surprised that there are still people in our country, even people on this board, who apparently do not know any better. There is no longer any place for this kind of attitude in our society. Stop it.
If people tell you reasons why they hate someone, why would you claim that their reasons for hating them is different than what they say? How do you know their reasons for hating them? I've given you the reasons why those women might be detested. Others have said reasons as well, and not one of them had to do with their religion. For the record I'm a Christian, though Bachman and Palin have a different practice of the religion than I do. But I don't hate either of them. They are both ill informed and not very smart.
