I think Michael should sign some 10-day contracts to play the game, and if he likes it and does well he should sign a contract. If he suddenly loses it, then he can officially retire. What do you guys think?

If I'm not mistaken, Jordan will have to divest himself of his interest in the team and surrender his VP position in order to play. So, I think if he's going to do it, he has to commit all the way, or else it isn't worth the bother.

This is true although Jordan could easily get someone to hold/guard/reserve the position for him while he plays. It is possible that the NBA would look down upon that but Stern would kill to get Jordan back.

Good point Ziggy. Baseball commissioner "Bumbling" Bud Selig owned the Milwaukee Brewers, but once he was named commissioner, he gave the team to his daughter to run. Assuming someday he retires or quits, or hopefully is fired as commissioner he can get his ownership back. Probably the same thing will happen with Michael Jordan.

I don't think you can sign a 10 day contract at the beginning of the season. I think you have to wait until a certain day near the middle of the season. It doesn't seem like MJ would want to go that route.

I heard that Charles gave it up at least a month ago. I guess he just couldn't stay away from the jelly donuts...
