This could be a fun movie to see. Here's Moore's request...

TJ, here's an opportunity to increase the readership of your blog by a millionfold, plus, you'd get to be on the big screen and maybe vote on Oscars.

I am so proud of the medical professionals in this country with all of the hard work they must do to keep this guy alive.

Great topic for Michael Moore. I look forward to seeing him shed some needed light on this mess.

That is the funniest thing I have ever read. It has taken me several minutes to stop laughing long enough to respond.

Write this down so you don't ever forget it: The next time Michael Moore tells the whole truth on a subject in his movies will be the first time he has ever done it.

That guy is so full of half truths and spin it is unreal. Anything to get tickets sold. He is the Rush Limbaugh of the left.

At least Rush Limbaugh actually believes the crap that comes out of his mouth...Michael Moore KNOWS his craps not true.

I used to be a fan of TV Nation, but now I'm just annoyed with Micheal Moore..the guy is the most underhanded documenta...er..I mean Commentary film Producer in the world.

bs. rush limbaugh knows that he has a devoted group that will follow and believe whatever he says. and michael moore is nowhere near as revered on the left as rush is on the right. when's the last time a democratic congressperson criticized michael moore one day, then went to him on his hands and knees begging his forgiveness the next ala Phil Gringey?

I think that's a fair comparison. I don't like it when folks compare Al Franken to Rush or to Ann Coulter. They aren't the same. Franken is certainly partisan, but he doesn't play near as fast and loose with the facts as Coulter, Rush, or Moore do.

As others have pointed out, there is a difference in the audiences though. I think Michael Moore isn't really seen as a leader of the left, or looked up to by as many people and politicians. I think most people know what they are getting from Michael Moore and some just want it anyway.

Sending out a worldwide email doesn't really seem to help the credibility of the accounts you'll get from the respondants, does it? Anyone could make up anything. That's not really investigative-y.

 Call me when Moore is made an honorary member of Congress and the President Obama hosts a birthday party for him at the White House.

Yes Moore exaggerates and liberally uses his artistic license. However, you can almost always trace how he arrived at a statement and it usually is grounded somewhere in fact even though he may draw much different conclusions from those facts then you or I would.

    Rush just makes crap up.

I think that any credibility you might have on a semblance objectivity is rather stretched when you state your conclusions in your call for data.

I happen to think he's probably right in calling the financial sector of the last dozen years (one of ) the biggest swindles in US history...but I have little faith that MM will produce anything less then a one-sided potentially misleading fluff piece given his recent films and this call for submissions.

It's pretty disappointing that millions of opinions will get shaped by the crap that this guy spits out of his mouth.

I find it interesting that so many on the right these days have such a low opinion of their fellow Americans. Of course, if you asked any of the "sheeple" more than likely they would note that they come to their opinions via independent thought and rigorous logic while it's all those other people who are so stupid they get led around by the nose. It's just curious that all of us consider ourselves independent thinkers yet at the same time think the majority of Americans are not.

the best is his movie about the healthcare system.....there's one scene where he's at a british doctors house and he's talking about how gov't paid doctors live such a good life there and he had this crummy old home and a small audi, but moore was like Audi its a luxury car. Then I thought about my parents friend whose a doctor here and he has a ferrari and lives in a sick high rise. Private still works better for some eh mike?

I take Micheal Moore as seriously for political commentary as I take Charles Barkley for basketball commentary

The great majority of Moore's points are valid. He does infuriate lots of conservatives and many moderates. Some liberals are also put off, by his style, but let's face it, just another dry documentary, if it even allowed with his point of veiw would not get people talking.
