Won't be a popular idea but I will love it. If he can go to a team where he is the 6th or 7th man he would be fine. Limited minutes and not carrying a way subpar team on his shoulders.

Don't say anywhere that MJ is thinking of returning to the NBA. Just that he has been playing with other NBA players. The article writer is just speculating.

He would take an even bigger poop on his legacy than when he was with the Wizards. He should have never come back....the second time!
The ESPN coverage made me sick. He couldn't even dunk!

He didn't dunk on people, but he made the occasional dunk.

And how did he **** on his legacy? By taking a team that is historically bad oh so close to the playoffs?

I see nothing wrong with him being a 6th or 7th man.

He looked.....old. In fact, I believe he stunted the growth of what could have been a decent Wiz team down the road....and he traded away some solid talent. He was a failure as a player the third time around and an even bigger boondoogle as a GM. Why does everyone kiss his ass like he's God? He WAS great in the 1980's and 90's, but living off past greatness with present day mediocrity (Stevie Wonder) is not inticing to me.

i agree...jordan was a horrible gm who set the wizards back quite a few years. the team had a decent group of young guys to build on and when jordan made his 3rd come-back he traded away youth to make a quick run at the playoffs (hamilton for stack). we rocket fans look at eddie griffin as a bust, but at least we didnt draft kwame brown #1.

Even an older Jordan would look nice on that Heat team.

    Pat Riley
    Shaq
    Jordan

I'm almost 40 so I say "GO FOR IT!"

Agreed. It would be scary. I say we need to sign him for the Rockets.

Anything's better than another failed attempt at running a franchise. Washington is still suffering from some of the boneheaded decisions he made while in the front office.

I'm all for old guys coming back. I don't buy into any of this "purity of the game" crap. If someone is willing to pay you to play, you play! Even if you are not a superstar, if you can still outplay 50% of the folks at your position, why not? You only live once, if you love basketball then play until teeth fall out for all I care.

Having said that, MJ totally f*$#@% the Wizards. What he did there was an act of pure selfishness. I guess Kobe really is following in his footsteps.

Guys mark my words...HE IS NOT COMING BACK!!!

The difference was, he wanted to make sure that he held private workouts so that the paparazzi wasn't all over it and swore the players to secrecy. Jordan loves the game of basketball and wants to continue playing it at the highest level, so he is just playing against NBA caliber talent at gyms and stuff for fun. I mean, just because he leaves the NBA, should he quit playing basketball? I don't think so. Besides, when he announced his retirement the second time, he left the idea open for a return because he had said there is a 99% chance I am done with basketball. When he retired last time he left no opening in his statement for him to return, therefore he will not return. Also, he tore up his knee so he knows that even if he would want to return his body won't hold up for 82 games because he is starting to fall apart. Face it guys, he is too old to be playing in the NBA now and simply won't return.
