Can someone tell me why he is so often mentioned to as trade bait? He's pretty good.... ------------------
With his 3 pt shooting and speed to get up the court he will even become more valuable, with this Zone coming in next year. Dickerson really is not a go-to guy, he is a role player. ------------------ "Instinctly u recognize things, now take advantage of what u just recognized!".. Hakeem.. I think any player that is as skilled as MD but not seen as a true all star makes very tempting trade speculations. On one hand a team with a lottery pick might not want to take a chance on an unproven player. A player with MD's skill might look pretty good to that team. On the other hand a team trying to get into the play-offs might see MD as a very good highly skilled shooter but with out any extra upside. So maybe they are willing to part with him for a shot at some young stud that has not played a minute of pro ball because they beleive he has a shot at greatness. A player like MD actually has a lot of value but is not so good to be considered untouchable. Therefore there will always be trade rumors with this type of player. ------------------ [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited June 18, 2001).]
For such a bad team, Vancouver sure has a bunch of good players. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence
I'm doubly surprised to see Bibby's name come up so often. But it seems everyone assumes the entire Grizzly team is on the block. I think, in truth, they have the personnel right now to be a perrenial playoff team. They just don't have the management. ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
