Man, what a freakin' game! It's playoff atmosphere the way these two giants are going at it...Billups with icicles in his veins and Wade with the spectacular take-over of the game (I love watching that kid play, my favorite non-Rocket in the league, what a player!).

Damn, that's some great basketball right there, I can't wait for these two teams to go at it again in the ECF, it will be worth the wait

I like Wade so much I was rooting for the Heat to win. The guy closed the game by scoring 17 straight points for the Heat! While Detroit has to feel pretty bad about blowing a 13 point 4th quarter lead, it's clear they are still the better team. But when superstars carry teams on their backs like Wade just did, you can't deny them.

Unfreakinbelievable...Dwayne Wade is the fu***** man, did anyone see that sequence in which he outjumped and outpowered Ben Wallace for the rebound, sending Big Ben crashing to the floor (outmusculing him), then takes it to the other end and just scores like it's nothing?

That kid has a fiery personality on the court and yet is such a nice guy off the court, makes it easy to root for him.

If Shaq gets his arse in shape and plays in the playoffs like he used to in the past, Miami will be a force to reckon with.

A performance like this in the playoffs, and Wade will be considered the premiere swingman in the game.

Great game ! but the thing that hurt me most is that relizing how far the Rockets are to compete at the level of those two teams or at least Detroit ! oh wait we were one shot away of beating them at the palace !!

What did Wade NOT do in last year's playoffs? Especially the first two rounds when Shaq was out. I've said Wade was special since his rookie year when he led the Heat into the 2nd round. He's much improved now, but he showed me enough to see possible greatness in his future.

He and Kobe are already the premiere SGs in the NBA. Who else is close? (LeBron and Tracy are SFs). Wade doesn't have anything more to prove IMO.

Jeriome (Robertson) - former Astros pitcher
    Laveranues (Coles)
    Antawn (Jamison)
    (Brette) Favre
    (Haywood) Jeffires (the Oiler)
    Dwyane (Wade)

For future reference, he has a lysdexic sports name. I keep track of these things. Yes I do.

    You're forgetting Iverson.

Dude, calm down, all I am saying is that he has to put in the time, it's just how the league goes. If he performs at such a high level in these playoffs, he would have cemented himself as the best SG in the league, that's all I am saying.

BTW, he's ways ahead of Lebron and Melo in how mature his game is and how fiery and clutch he's on the court. Those two guys are yet to learn that, Wade seems to have had "it" from day one.

I agree though, he's amazing to watch, he's so powerful and plays much bigger than his 6'4" frame would suggest. The only thing I enjoy as much as watching the Heat and the Pistons go head-to-head is watching Wade and Kobe play each other...now that's a dream match up

They have different personas on the court, for sure, but Wade is not as good as Lebron, or necessarily as clutch. Lebron has won some games in the last minutes lately, too.

Now, if Wade was taller (which isn't his fault), or could shoot better (which he will HAVE to get better at), then it may be a different story.

True, he's not as talented as Lebron is, possibly no one in the league is, but Wade gets a lot more out of himself and pushes himself further and harder than Lebron or Melo.

I just think Wade has that killer instinct that very, very few players in the league have. He probably gets more out of his body/natural skills than any player in the league not named Iverson.

I love how Wade is the second coming of MJ all the sudden based on one game.

tigermission1, I would take Wade over AI any day of the week. I love watching the Sixers play because of AI, but Wade helps a team more, without the baggage of being a complete ball hog.

LeBron hasn't had the big stage yet like Wade. Lets see what he does in this year's playoffs.

TMac640, who said Wade was the 2nd coming of MJ based on this one game? My point was he's been a special player from the very beginning and has improved every year. For that matter, who in this thread compared Wade to MJ at all?

Well, duh, of course anyone would pick Wade now over AI, Wade is much younger.

barring the last minute of the game, he was terrible. Way to turn it up a notch.

Forget age and the future. Just looking at last season and this season, Wade is better right now than AI.
