Beasley at #3... I think this would be a pretty big mistake by the Heat unless they get a deal around a great superstar.
Who knows, everyone is going to find out tomorrow; it's going to be a very intriguing draft this year.
If they don't trade Wade and trade their #2 pick, it better be one HECK of a deal. I've read that Pat Riley isn't too high on Beasley because of his "personality and mannerisms" off the court but the kid, from everything I've read, is as good as gold. The Heat better be getting something damn good in return than Marbury and #2. Billups/Wallace/#29 for Marion/Blount/#2
If this happens I would be all over the phone offering Battier and perhaps Landry for the number 3 pick....but only if it is Beasley. DD
I really don't know....but couldn't we trade his restricted rights? Or have a sign and trade in place if this happens? Beasley would be amazing with Yao and Tmac... DD
No matter who ultimately ends up with the 2nd player chosen, that player will be Beasley. If the Heat don't select him, the team they trade the pick to will take him.
sad part is i posted a thread with a trade for the #2 pick that involved battier and brooks but people made fun of me. Sadly those two are the only peices we can really offer that would intrigue miami If you say carl landry then you are forgetting they have the same player in Haslem.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet the Heat take Mayo #2 and keep him. They keep trying to figure out how to take Beasley and get Mayo and something else. But it's not working. Minny is saying they will take Mayo at #3 and that is to force Riley to make a trade with them for Beasley. So, Minny is hemming Riley in. I think Riley is sold on Mayo. 1. Rose 2. Mayo 3. Beasley
