he's going to be a 3rd stringer and is coming off a decent year in a backup role.

What? Did you expect them to sign another big time player? The remaining of their roster will be old vets or specialists

LOL I thought their phones were ringing off the hook. How come they can't find a veteran better than JHo? Or is it JHo's agent hogging the phone line and calling Heat's front office all day?

Not suprising. This is the same Pat Riley that tried to pay him $100 million.

They could sign all D-Leaguers to their bench for all it matters. As long as they Bron or Wade on the floor, they won't have to do anything but look pretty and not trip over their own feet.

Good signing for them. No joke.

Juwan was terrific for the Blazers last year in relief of Oden and Przybilla. He helped keep that team afloat until the Camby trade, and even after that he was a valuable contributor.

As the fourth or fifth big for the Heat, he'll be quality.

He's only 37 - it seemed like he had fresh legs last season so this is a solid move for the Heat.

Yes, I agree. This is a really good fit in my opinion. He knows how to play the game, and as long as he can get up and down the floor and pass the ball he'll be OK. I can see how having all D-leaguers would be a problem.
