He's out two weeks, not the full season. He'll be back well before the season begins and he already knows the offense anyway.
Fesenko sounded way better but the j*zz holes were gonna match our offer. Well, if we get Erika I won't be happy but it's not the worst thing in the world. He is a serviceable backup unless his game disappeared over the summer.
Besides being injury prone he's suffers from a mystery condition? http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nba/news/story?id=4920336 http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/stories/112009dnspomavsshort.39db9f3.html
it very well could be that he doesnt want them damp to me seemed more about $ than anything else, winning was nice but getting paid came first (nothing wrong with that after all it is a job) the heat cant offer him money nor apparently a set amount of playing time. he just "lost" millions thanks to his non-guaranteed contract he probably is just looking for one last payday...even at 38-39 in a few years he can always get a vet min contract and ride a favored team to get a ring. the guy was never really athletic and a big body who could still be useful at that age.
Maybe this teed Riley off? http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/25337644823 Two unidentified late entrants into Erick Dampier bidding today, league sources tell Y!. One GM says Damp is having second thoughts on Heat. 6:07 AM Sep 24th via web
Fez does have more upside but is also a restricted FA so we would have to overpay to get him and even then there is no guarantee the Jazz wouldnt match the offer I dont really want Dampier here, but if the team is looking for a defensive center there is no one better out there right now that is available as a free agent than Dampier. the one thing that this team is desperately needs is someone to protect the paint which is the only thing Dampier is good at. With Yao's limited minutes and Miller's below average defense a guy like Dampier can be a huge benefit for the team. I dont care for Dampier as a person and his previous stint with the Mavs is certainly beyond annoying but I am more concerned about the Rockets winning and if Dampier can help the team win than I would be fine with him being on the team. Its not like we are gonna be paying him what Dallas did, 2 million at best for a guy with his skill is a great bargain when you look at centers around the league
Last year our biggest weakness was height. now we have that...can we contend with the lakers? yes, can we contend for a championship? yes..oh, yeah...we sill have brooks and martin...cant wait...suck it western conference...we coming for the top
Why are some of the goobers here happy about potentially landing the biggest and most unskilled douche ex-Mav in the NBA?
well the Bucks are challeging the Rockets now for Damp http://twitter.com/samickAOL/status/25453365795
