Bosh loves the city of Miami and has one of the nicest housed on Biscayne bay you've ever seen. Maybe it's not about winning more championships for him? He already has two and now in Miami he can be the man. In Houston, he's not the man. In Miami he's probably putting up 30 a game next year.

It's not an easy decision for him. What would you guys do?

How much of that is them wanting some assets from us? Could this be a bluff by Riley?

I wonder if we can resend that Asik deal, and just give him to them just to shut them up.

What reason does he have to stay?

LeBron is gone, he's not from there, the team sucks, the fans are even worse.

Maybe Bosh was shopping for countries while in West Africa? Oh, and David Aldridge is still a weasel.

Honestly, Bosh should prefer a 2 year max, with 3rd year player option (what Parsons signed for) over a 4 or 5 year max.

This way, he gets to be a free agent again in 2016, when the new salary cap is expected to be $80M with a new NBA national TV deal in place.

A 32 year old Bosh still has a very good chance of getting more than what he is scheduled to make under a 4 or 5 year max contract under the current $63M cap.

Besides, by becoming a free agent at age 32 instead of 33 or 34, he doesn't have to be subject to the "over 36 rule" when he signs that next contract.

Hmm...he's got two rings already. He's settled in Miami. He's got the money either way. It's so much easier for him to just stay put than it is to uproot and go to Houston. I'm guessing he stays and the Rockets get screwed in which case they should just let Parsons go, too, while they are at it because, barring some kind of miracle, the team is not going to get the players they need to make a serious title run. And, is Bosh even all about winning given he's already won two championships?

in 3 years, he can have serious knee trouble or just plain suck. no smart player is taking that risk. MIA's 5th year max makes his decision difficult now.

edit: sorry, reading comprehension fail. 3rd year player option makes a little more sense. but that's still giving up 2 years of guaranteed money.
