This kind of pisses me off. Why can't they be original? Now they're spamming his twitter with it. Ours is much better and way more proffesional so we just have to spam his twitter more. If you want to see the ****ty website look here http://boshtomiami.com/
Why would it piss you off? I doubt they built that site overnight. It's probably been in the works for a while. Why should we be the only fans allowed to publicly beg a player to join our team? Personally, I think these kinds of efforts are a waste of time and will have zero impact on the players' decisions.
They built it after they saw Clutch's site. They could've thought of a more original idea than completely stealing his idea.
Even if they did, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be allowed to do so. A lot of people did and will do the same with LeBron, Wade, etc... We don't have exclusive rights on the concept. And like I said, this is more for the fans than anything else. I highly doubt that this kind of stuff will sway the players' minds. They'll make their decisions almost entirely based on other criteria. If Bosh wants to play for Houston and Morey and their GM can work something out, they'll get it done. The same concept goes for the other players.
Plus, I'm guessing that Clutch or whoever built our Bosh website got the idea from seeing some of the other ones out there for other players. I could be wrong.
Um, that's it? What a crappy website. Just 5 or 6 bullets on why he should go to Miami on the home screen and a bunch of crappy pictures. You can see the difference in hard work and something just slapped together by Clutch's BoshtoHouston site. They're not even 100% sure Wade, there most important bullet, will be back next season.... idiotas.
Eh, these sites will pop up from everyone who's going after him... and LeBron... and Wade.. etc. This isn't something new. They didn't do a very good job with the site though IMO...
Not to mention - bullet 1 is just wrong cause there ARE other teams that can offer that - bullet 2 has a typo. It must have been some high school kid who takes a photoshop class that put this site together. But most likely, as Brooksball said, it's not going to make a difference anyway.
Miami already built a 'keep wade in miami' site a week or two ago. And the Mavs obviously have that LBJ site. This is the future of fandom...or at least a trend for now. Fortunately we have Clutch, and his company makes terrific websites.
I wrote: Houston is the place for you!!! The Rockets would never go 15-67 LOL!!! We went 42-39 IN THE WEST!! without any stars!
I saw that site a day before we launched... they didn't copy us. The_Yoyo can vouch for this, but http://www.houston4bosh.com is something that's been in the works since shortly after our initial Twitter push nearly a month ago. You can see domain records show the domain name was purchased about 10 days after that (and that's about how long it took to settle on a name... lol) While developing this, out came 3 LeBron sites, a Wade site and this Bosh site. What we thought was going to be original wasn't by the time it was launched, but that's life. We felt we put our own twist to it, but we didn't copy anyone and none of those sites copied us.
This upcoming signing period has been pegged as "The most exciting Free Agent offseason in NBA History" and well deserved. You had to know the Mastermind would be up to something.
While Clutch has put in far more time and effort into the Houston4Bosh site the miami one was up a day before. He sent me the link to it and I just scratched my head. Its not bad but that song that autoplays on the home page is just annoying and IMO reeks of amateurism. Though I liked their idea of having fans submit photoshops of Bosh in a Heat jersey at that point adding that onto our site would have been copying, besides there is far more original content and ways to spread the word. I sent links to both the sites to a bunch of my friends here in LA who are neither Rockets or Heat fans (if anything they probably dislike the Rockets more since I always talk to them about the Rockets) and 8 of them responded as of this morning and they all said the Houston site was far better. We could have been out there before but Clutch kept pushing back the launch date Of course its not his fault we spent a week trying to decide whether to call it Houston4Bosh.com or WhoWantsToSexChrisBosh?Houston!.com
