    4-1-09 Game Thread

Miami @ Dallas -- Miami has been playing well lately, this should be a pretty close game, I think Miami can win this, but Wade will have to be big like he always is and they'll need to defend Dirk very well, they've lost the last nine regular season meetings against Dallas though, Go Heat!!!

New Orleans @ Los Angeles (Clippers) -- Clippers will win EASILY! APRIL FOOLS! This game shouldn't be close... Hornets by a mile.. but go Clippers and fool us all!

Why couldnt this game be the first of a back to back. The Clippers are just playing out the string. Though if New Orleans lets them hang around thru 3 quarters, they might get more than they bargained for in the 4th.

The Hornets will beat the sorry Clippers.

If the Heat bring their "A" game, they will beat the Mavs. But they are just as unpredictable as the Mavs. This is one of those weird games where the home team is playing a back-to-back and the road team is not.

I'm rooting for the mavs. They have almost no chance of catching us, and I want them to ahve as good a chance as possible to catch and put the j*zz in the 8 spot. The j*zz are only two losses better right now.

Props to you guy. Good thinking. Despite our feelings about the Mavs, the Jazz sliding to 8th place is a good thing.

    Why thank you.

I'm actually surprised everyone else hadn't already come to this conclusion.

Why i'd like the Jazz to remain 8th, it goes against my rules to root for a west team facing a east team.

Way I see it, with the j*zz schedule and their inability to win a road game against a respectable opponent, they will finish 7th or 8th regardless. That would mean what...5 more losses or so? Do they have 5 of those road games remaining? It most likely is 5 more losses...4 if their lucky they've only beaten Philly on the road if i'm correct. Looks dim for them if you ask me

If the Jazz follow their pattern and lose all 5 of their remaining road games against the Nuggets, Hornets, Mavs, Spurs and Lakers, it looks very grim for them indeed. You could just pencil them into #8. But something tells me they might win a couple of those games. By contrast, while the Mavs have 6/8 remaining games at home, a lot of them are against good teams. It could go either way.

I want Mavs to win some games from now on, cause they might push Jazz to the 8th seed, which is good for Rockets. Let Jazz to face Lakers in the playoff.

I've been kind of flipping around before the Rockets-Suns game. I thought there was no way the Bobcats could make a run with their schedule, but they took down the Lakers and look like they're going to beat the Celtics as well.

Pistons missing the Playoffs would be a pretty stunning fall.

The only problem with watching the Celtics is that you too frequently get their announcers. They are wretched.

Bobcats up 4 with a minute to play.

Agreed, but the Bobcats have self-destructed. They deserve to lose this game.

BOS is the best defense team! They can defend any team well during the crunch time!

BTW, I really want CHA to win. Maybe because of MJ! When MJ with the WAS, he didn't make playoffs. I really hope CHA can make it this year!

People, I have to confess something: I just can't root for the Mavs to beat the Heat. I'm well aware they can't catch the Rockets and that we all want the Jazz to get the 8th seed. But I'm sorry, GO HEAT!

Please forgive me. The heart rules over the brain this time because it's the Mavs against a team I like. :p
