Is this a joke? From hardradio.com:

In other news, MTV News (www.mtv.com/news) reports that Metallica are particularly unhappy about certain actions the US military has taken in Iraq. Not the ones that resulted in the collapse of Saddam Hussein's empire, the ones in which Metallica's music was played to extract info from terrified Iraqi prisoners who'd never been exposed to heavy metal. Speaking to press in Europe, Lars Ulrich told the World Entertainment News Network that he strongly objects to the use of 'Enter Sandman' as a device of coercion. "I feel horrible about this," he said. "No one in Iraq has ever done anything to hurt me, and I don't understand why we have to be implicated in that bull****." The drummer added that if the Army is intent on using loud music to break Saddam's supporters, they should find something really grating on the ears. "What about firing up some Venom or some of those Norwegian death metal bands'" he proposed. "The problem with that is then it wouldn't be a soundbite. Sometimes Metallica become the token heavy metal band that you can talk about." Although unhappy with the situation, Lars said there's nothing he can do about the current situation. "What am I supposed to do about it," he asked, "get George Bush on the phone and tell him to get his generals to play some Venom?"

Lars is really going to hit the roof when he finds out the military downloaded "Enter Sandman" from Kaazaa Lite and burned their own CDs!:D

I think Motorhead might be a bit more appropriate.

    Nice followup RM Tex!

    I... hate... Lars Ulrich.

He and Linda Cohn would be happy together.

In 1986, on a Friday night, four highschool seniors under the influence of mar1juana and alcohol dream about the perfect life. Letting their imaginations run away with them they dream about listening to Metallica all day and getting paid to do it. A plan was born. All four remain in the military to this day doing high level research. By the year 2003, the plan is still going strong.

    Urge... to vomit...rising....

I think the worst would be to look at those pictures while listening to Lars Ulrich talk about Napster AND Linda Cohn doing Sportscenter highlights.

I would take a drill to my own temple.

I have never understood how Linda Cohn has kept her job at ESPN. She is SOOOOOO annoying and condescending. The only explanation that I can come up with is that she is either blackmailing someone like Eisner or she is screwing him.

    You mean Rich Eisen?

Eisen is the bomb. Remember that SC commercial where the girls had a slumber party. And they were giggling over Eisen's picture or something. And Martina Hingis was like "yeah he's the cutest"
