I just got this game on Wednesday and completed it this morning. The game kicks so much ass, the storyline was definitely nothing I expected as far as the main characters go. A couple depressing moments also, but it was still a very well-done game.

Some of the video scenes were amazing, especially the Dead Cell (Fortune and Vamp) scenes.

Who else has played/finished this game?

What did you guys think of the storyline?

I personally enjoyed the storyline, but I've read that a lot of people thought it sucked. I think it's one of the first video games I've ever played that you actually have to devote all of your attention to in order to grasp what the hell is going on.

Anyway, what do you guys think about the game?

I'm already looking forward to the next Metal Gear...

Does the fact that you beat it so quickly mean it's easy to beat, or are you just a video game stud? Would you enjoy playing it again?

I'm asking because I was thinking about buying it today and I don't want to shell out the bucks for something that's not going to last me that long. I don't have the time to play for more than a couple of hours at a time, and I'm no stud...really. Do you think it will last me?

I bought right after I took my last final, so I've had the weirdest sleeping hours this week, usually going to sleep at 11 am and waking up at 5 pm. I played it mainly in the early morning when nothing else was going on, so I just had a lot of free time to blow on it.

I'm playing it again by the way, it's the type of game that you'd want to play over and over.

It took me 15 hours to finish it off, and I think I'm pretty knowledgeable about the tricks of these games.

If you don't think you'll want to play it again after beating it, then I suggest you just rent it for a week.

Also, it's nearly impossible to grasp the storyline if you didn't play the first Metal Gear on the PS1. The storyline refers back to it A LOT. So I'd play that game before I ever played this one...

    Thanks, BGM.

I did play the first one, although I didn't finish it truth be told. I'm looking for a good adventure game and this looks like the one to own. Especially if you enjoy playing after you've already beaten it. ;)

I must have killed E.E. about 25 times, getting her out of Shell 2.

Yeah dude, I forgot all about the 2nd dive and thought I could take my time with her and let her lose some life underwater. Then I got to the 2nd part of the flooded area and I had to haul ass to the air pockets to keep her alive.

I was close to just resetting the game and starting over with her at full health.
