Hey ya'll...I'm a huge Texans fan going to school in NY...I met Reggie and all the guys downtown today at the NFL Network's Draft Preview...I was wearing my Carr jersey and was cheering for Reggie the whole time...he was eloquent at first, but at the end I was walking literally right next to him with pen in hand and he wouldn't autograph ANYTHING, I pleaded and pleaded and even made up some sob stories and he wouldn't budge. Vince was nice and signed for a little kid with UT gear on, but Bush wouldn't even sign a USC fan's jersey. Some class act huh? I was pro-Bush all the way until today...Vince should be the face of our franchise. And btw, he did seem very hurt that the Texans wanted Reggie. And IMO, him and Bush looked very cold to each other, and when Vince flashed his championship ring - you should've seen Leinart's face, it was priceless. Keep hope alive!
Hey, you can look for me on the KPRC and ABC local news tonight, they both interviewed me and a friend. I'm wearing the Carr jersey...
1. Well, in swilkins post it shows that you want Carr to be traded so it's unlikely that you had a David Carr jersey on. 2. You said, "Keep hope alive!" which is a Rich Lord phrase for Vince Young. 3. You want Chance to be drafted #1 and you also seem to know that a fan in a David Carr jersey was interviewed by a local tv station. You obviously have some connection with 610. Are you Rich Lord?
If you read that post, that was within the setting of a joke with Chance..not Pro-Vince related. Beleive me I am, or should I say 'was', Pro-Bush. Not anymore unfortunately.
Bush can't sign autographs. He has an exclusive deal with GTSM that prevents him from signing. His deal is only worth 200,000 less then LeBron's so I don't think he's going to jeopordize that to sign an autograph for you in front of a bunch of people. I witnessed him sign autographs in Dallas and Houston when large groups weren't around. Just b/c somebody doesn't sign an autograph for you doesn't mean they are of low character. They don't owe that to you. When VY threw out the first pitch here and was walking out of the Diamond Level after the game and a kid was standing there with a football. VY said "Nah, man" when the kid asked him. That doesn't make him an a-hole (I've met him a bunch and know that he's very cool) it just meant he didn't feel like signing at that time. Now that kid and his probably probably think he's the biggest a-hole ever but you can't judge a person on one experience. These guys don't owe you an autograph dude.
Lol. Not quite, that would be quite an interesting logic though. I ain't lying, I was there. I'll post a picture or two when I get them off my camera.
You're right. They don't 'owe' it to me. But him not giving it did change my personal opinion as a fan. But you know what they say I guess, winning cures all ills. We shall see. Go Texans
Speaking of Rich, I wonder if I'll make it through the whole 2-3 hour before turning off the radio. I'm sure there will be 4 VY calls, 1 Bush call where Rich will interrupt the caller, and play/say "Keep Hope Alive" 30 thousand times, while poor Marc sits there wishing he were babysitting...er...Parenting Vanderbaby instead of VYbaby.
If you people can read that post as anything other than a joke then I feel sorry for your friends and associates, presuming you have any, as the slightest hint of sarcasm, or tongue in cheek-ness must send you into a frenzy. "What!?!? Chickens ar crossing roads! They are not!"
I can understand that that but sometimes you have to put yourself in their shoes. These dudes get that everyday. Bush can't do it. If he signs in front of a national audience he voids his contract. If he does it when nobody's around then he's cool.
If you can't read my post as a joke then I feel sorry for your friends and associates. Look at my first post in this thread.
