All, I'm in Vegas for the CES show. Bill Walton was signing autographs. I asked him about the Rockets: Tinman: Do you think the Rockets are better with Tmac instead of SFrancis? Walton:They aren't doing to well now. They need better players around Yao and Tmac. Tinman: Will the Rockets win a championship in the next 2 years? Walton: dont think so. Tinman: Will JVG get fired? Hey since im in Vegas, The MGM says the Rockets are a 15/1 odds to win the NBA title. Same as the Lakers!
With more moves probably in the works,developing chemistry,and perhaps a new coach,you never know.That's a nice overlay. True story here....I was in Vegas at the Mirage when the rumor was that we were trading for Pippen.Normally I wouldn't touch the prop bets,but I picked up the Rockets at 14-1(took a flyer).My friends and I were in the stands for game 4,laughing our a$$ off.Go for it,Tinman. BTW..How is the show?..lots of investment info there.

Tinman - isn't there another adult oriented convention in Vegas this weekend? I wonder what NBA stars you'll meet there? James Worthy? Barkley?
of course you have only heard bill seemed to be very realistsic. i agree with all that he said. it doesn't look good for JVG. we do need better players around yao and mac. and 2 years is a short amount of time to build a championship team...if you count this as year 1.
Bill Walton, god bless him, doesn't know sh%t. Everybody knows it. The dude was still calling Hakeem the "Greatest Center in the Gaaame" in the late, late 90's when he was clearly not.
