Today he hosted a basketball camp at my former college for at risk 8-15 year old kids. Lucky for me the coordinator of the the camp happened to be my cousin. So naturally I jumped on the opportunity to be a volunteer at the camp. AB is a freakin awesome guy. He was really good with the kids and at the end of the camp he gave away a pair of his autographed kicks to an 8 year old who went 7 for 7 in the layup drill. It was actually pretty amazing considering Brooks was 8-8 with the same amount of time lol. Anyway today was a pretty awesome experience being able to work alongside Aaron Brooks. And for whoever needs proof
Sweet, one of my favorite Rockets. You don't have to crane your neck to talk to the guy, talking to Yao must be a trip.
AB and Kevin Martin are competing hard in the PR war to stay in Houston instead of leaving as trade bait. AB gives away shoes while Martin pays for a child's funeral.
Props for taking the picture even though by doing so you might be labeled a f@g by some posters on here....
If we get Melo, KMart or Brooks are going to Denver. It would pain me MUCH..much much much more to see Brooks leave the team, but I would actually rather have send Brooks and keep Martin. and that's real dope OP. I like that shirt youre rocking
Haha I really don't care what other posters think. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But the reality is I have a picture with AB and they don't. He was a really cool guy. I wouldn't have asked him if I thought it would be an inconvenience for him. I had to bite my tongue the whole camp. I could of been there asking questions about this and that but I didn't think it would be appropriate. Instead I asked him questions that related to improving children's basketball skills. It'll come in handy being a first year elementary P.E. coach. I learned a lot from him. I actually go back tomorrow. He's signing autographs after the camp so I'll get some more pics.
