Over years, Yao Ming's hardly had a moment's rest. Instead of pushing him over to the extreme, we should rest him for two weeks. Although the Rockets have lost 3 of last 4 games, other than Yao, the rest of the team are not necessarily playing worse than they did early in the season. After tonight's game, we'll see more clearly if Yao is still contributing. I don't think the Rockets are in any danger of missing the playoffs, a struggling Yao certainly doesn't help anyway. I want to see a refreshed and revitalized Yao Ming in the playoffs.
IL means 5 games. . .leaving on 3~4 games to get his rhythm and wind back I'd rather not chance it Rocket River
1-It is not the right message to send to the other players (I'm tired mom, can I sleep just a little longer) 2-As any training expert will tell you, the rest will only make the body more drained 3-NO 4-Hell No 5-I thinking No 6-Get over it and learn how to deal with it. This is your career. 7-did I forget No
yao plays in the NBA is not the MLB. you can't take a day off. if one rockets player needs rest, that would be SF. SF doesn't know what the hell is lost out on the court. he doesn't know when he should shoot except when the shot clock is at 3 second or when he should breakdown the defense and create open shots for teammates or when to pass the ball.
Most of our plays run through Yao.. and if he sits uhhh dont tell me you want to see the 2002-2003 rockets
I'm tired - I think I'll sit out for a work a few days this week. 23 years old, and his work is 35 minutes every other day. ...you've got to be joking. D R
No, you've got to be joking. If we had clinched a playoff spot, we could probably limit his minutes a lot, but I doubt he'll go to the IL just like that. But the way it's looking, we may need him just to stay in the playoffs.
Who in the NBA is not fatigued? Yao has to suck it up and play just like everybody else. The rockets haven't clinched a playoff birth yet. Judging by some stats that were posted the other day Yao seems to play much better with little rest compared to having 3 days off inbetween games.
