Our team just got a nice $1000 check from our sponsor to buy some new bats.

Anyone have info to share on which bats are the best? Thanks.

There are some that out outlawed, make sure to get a list from whichever league you are in before buying a bat.

Some, like the tri-wall bats are illegal in a lot of leagues.

I use Easton Synergy Composite. Nice sweet spot. Great Pop and ASA certified.

I know the Miken Freak and the Worth Mutant are good bats. Can't go wrong with anything DeMarini though.

We have a DeMarini White Steel. Has a funky sound that make people think the bat is either broken or illegal, but it's neither...and the ball flies off of it.

The Freak is what my kid uses in baseball, they just outlawed the Easton Stealth as it is too dangerous...

Lots of composite bats have that trampoline effect.....the bats today are insane.

Justbats.com is a great place to read reviews and buy bats for less $$$

Ok sweet, thanks for the help thus far.

We are in a USSSA league, and I do have the list of approved bats.

From what I have gathered so far online, Miken and Worth make great bats. We used another teams Miken Freak last season for a game and it was pretty awesome.

Why are rec leagues (even if all male) always softball, rather than baseball?

Isn't that the equivalent of playing a pickup basketball game with this...

They have adult league baseball. It's just that softball is a better sport for out-of-shape guys to just get out and play.

Exactly, although I don't think there are any out of shape guys in my league. Its a better sport to play for guys that don't want fastballs zinging at their face.

What league are you playing in? ASA?

I just picked up the 2011 Freak. So far it's very nice.

I have a used Combat Virus enhanced 27oz players model and used DeMarini Vexxum. Dirt cheap. :p

i love softball, but i have no power. it's funny watching the outfielders back up and all i do is hit a single up the middle.

Just started playing on a softball team. Ours is co-ed and our bats are far cheaper than anything you would want, so I can't be of use there. I got a $40 Worth Silencer for $20.

It's one of the better bats on our team, so that tells you something.

Once you do buy some bats let me know what you get so that I can start checking out some of the better bats.

The fact that you can go up the middle is usually good. In our league if you can hit to right field that's usually a base hit.

I don't know about you. But instead of buying multiple cheaper bats, I would buy one bat that costs $1000.

Preferably, if it was coated in gold.
