http://www.mensfitness.com/lifestyle/215 We're #6 on the fattest list. Well, good for us...as long we're not #1. I'm pretty surprised that Miami is #1, despite their image.
Isn't this the list created by some arbitrary stats like number of eating establishments divided by number of work out facilities?
They take into consideration the number of sporting good stores, park space, most popular activities, television viewing, and obesity rates, among other factors (according to the article).
Shouldn't most of those things be irrelevant when you're talking about the fattest cities? For fattest cities, it should really just be about obesity. It does make sense though that they would include all those factors for the fittest cities because fitness is about more than just not being fat.
Minneapolis at #2 on the fittest. WOO HOO! I'm going to celebrate with a milkshake, bucket of fried chicken and donuts!
You would think with all of the fast food threads here Houston was clawing its way back to the top of the fattest. MORE WHATABURGERS, MORE JAMES CONEY ISLAND, MORE SHIPLEYS HOUSTON! WE CAN BE NUMBER ONE!
OKC #2? I believe it. There are some behemoths here. What's crazy is they"re that high with all the meth addicts to balance it out.
We're slacking off. Everyone eat pizza/fried chicken/hamburgers till we're number one again. At least....we'll be number one in something.
Thanks to the influx of out-of-staters, Dallas is down to #14. Damn. Of course I see a lot of Oklahoma and Florida plates here now... maybe the Californicators are countering them because those folks are coming in here in droves.
Are we thinking of the same America?? There's fat people everywhere in this country, yet I've seen so many more obese in the South than anywhere in Miami. Strange list.
I was in a play called Lost In Yonkers..... It is unsurprising that Yankees hate fat people so much...they pretty much hate everyone.
