10 straight playoff losses? This has got to be some sort of record...

    Ouch...pretty bad...

BTW everytime I see the Mav roster I am amazed at how deep their team is. Most of their bench players could start in our Rockets team.

Someday they'll get a legit swingman and they'll contend. They have a really good coach and system.

Grizzlies are a bunch of role players with no one to lead them. When going gets tough, as it usually does in playoffs, they have no one to rely on. No star player to double team means no good looks for other players. Pau is too much of a crybaby to lead them. He spends half his time on the court whining to the refs.

Rockets have 2 star players with 0 role players.
Grizzlies have a whole team of role players with 0 star players.

    Someone merge the 2 franchise.

A team full of role players? Pau is a crybaby, but an allstar nevertheless. If you want to talk about a team of role players, look at Utah.

    Williams
    Kirilenko
    Harpring
    Boozer
    Okur

If you plug anyone of their starters into the Rockets starting lineup (maybe not Harpring), we'd be in the playoffs already.

Pau is an ineffective all-star in playoffs. I have seen several All stars fail to contribute in playoffs. Shawn marion is another example. If Pau was good enough he would have led his team tojust ONE victory in 10 playoff game tries. It's not like he is surrounded by scrubs exactly.

Even Magic Johnson made the comment last night that Memphis struggles because they lack creators on offense. He specifically mentioned that they have a hard time bcause you dont need to double team Pau.

If pau was good, he would have murdered single coverage on him. If he cant carry his team against single coverage from Diop, Mybenga,or Dampier, then I am sorry, he will never carry his team. He will need to play second or third fiddle to a legitamate star.

I agree about Jazz. Memphis is similar.

Even though the Grizzlies have made the playoffs the last few years and are up to a number 5 seed this year they have always failed to impress me or have me pick them to advance to the next round. I didn't expect it to be any different this year.

Memphis doesn't impress me at all, but I really hate Dallas, so I hope they can at least win a couple

I've strongly disliked Memphis for a while now and nothing amuses me more than their playoff futility.

Ouch. Not only are the the Grizz 0-11 now. They're the only team in this playoffs without a victory. That'll be pretty embarrasing if they end up being the only team swept in the first round while dropping to 0-12.

More like Papier Mache. To be a paper tiger you have to be highly regarded and expected to do well. I don't think a whole lot of people expected Memphis to be anything more than first round fodder.

But what a way to lose today. Talk about a heartbreaker. Had they just given Dallas the uncontested layup it looks good for them with a one-point lead and the ball. I'm not even sure Dallas had a timeout left, they had at most one.

Shades of Horry vs. the Kings a few years ago...the rebound goes off a Griz and right into the hands of the most dangerous 3-point shooter (Dirk) for the crazy game-tying three.

That being said, the refs were giving them some tasty homecooking and it still wasn't enough.

It's not really fair to them to be stuck with a 0-11 tag when they have to play teams with like 60 wins every year. If they were in the East, or had been smart enough to draw the Nuggets this year, they'd have several playoff wins by now, maybe even a series.

Not only are the Grizz to only team without a playoff win now, but it seems the Mavs are now the only higher seed taking care of business.

    Damn you, Dallas.

Dallas is lucky they got Memphis. Had they gotten Clippers, they would be struggling right now.
