So who remembers this? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cOLZa80WfYI&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cOLZa80WfYI&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> This was only a preseason game, but it was a bit hyped up by fans and the teams themselves.. "Big 3 vs Big 3". I remember it being very competitive as if it were actually a regular season game. If I recall, a fight almost broke out (the video doesn't show it (NBA TV )). And then at the end, the score is 89-88 Boston down, but Pierce hits that game winner. And thennnn if I remember right, scola hit a last second shot on the other end, but because of the building we were playing in, they didn't go to the instant replay.
Every thing seem so much more promising back then.......Strawberry vs. Von Wafer for one Roster Spot......
Yeah I remember that game being ridiculously intense for pre-season. You can tell by the way Boston celebrated after Pierce's shot. (Of course Boston was full of egotistical guys anyway in House, Pierce, Garnett, Rondo..)
Crap quality, but oh well. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AjC2qyAOO9g&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AjC2qyAOO9g&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
We would get Boston back in a regular season game <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dOtV9zatazk&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dOtV9zatazk&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I was at that game and it was a lot of fun for preseason. Needless to say I was like 1 of 10 Rockets fans in the Manchester arena. Pierce did not hit that final shot, Gabe Pruitt did. If I remember correctly, they actually did look at the monitors on the sideline to check if Scola's shot left his hand, but they waived it off. Oh the expectations that accompanied that game.
Basically, Bill Walker and Eddie House tried to confront Tracy and House ran away like a little b****.
If I remember correctly Landry looked especially good that game. It was definitely heated though, so heated that Alston took the war feelings into the playoffs and slapped House in the face. That early Mavs game was another solid memory of what could have been.
I remember watching that game on TV. We'd just moved to New Hampshire in the summer of '09, so money was tight; otherwise, I would've looked into getting tickets.
goodtimes... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/im1OMj3vLaI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/im1OMj3vLaI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
