    It doesn't worK!!

In the first half they were putting him in the post with his back to the basket and he wasn't doing anythink against Fisher. He doesn't get good shots from the post.

He was much, much better when he got it on the wing or brought it up himself.

Posting him up back to the basket didn't work in the game on Apr. 1, and it didn't work tonite in the 1st half. they stopped doing it in the 2nd half and he went off.

    Stop doing it!

actually tmac used to be able to rise up and score over anyone while he was in the post. that was his only post move. he doesnt do the rise up move anymore though =\

While you're at it, tell JVG to bench Rafer and run TMac at the point. Luther and Shane produce more than enough from the arc. We dont need Alston wasting long bombs (3/11 FG).

Tmac's got a good back to the basket game. We need to mix it up, not be predictable. This game is not indicative of what he's really capable of, especially against the much shorter Fisher.

Yeah I mean... ignore everything else Rafer does. Sure.

Not really. Tmac has only 2 moves from the post position. A turnaround fadeaway, or face-up, drive, and reverse pivot for a fadeaway.

If anything, Tmac needs to catch it in the post position, face-up, and make his move.

That's one thing he should work on this offseason I guess, learn some post moves from Yao. :D

I absoltely don't understand this thread. T-Mac can't post up Derek Fisher? That's going to grow JVG a new ulcer.

uh, MJ had really just one move - the fadeaway.

kobe really just has 2 moves in the post - fadeaway and the back down and just shoot over

yao just has 2-3 moves: fallaway, mini-hook, and the spin move.

guys who post up don't have many moves down there. if you're strong, u back down all the way (like shaq). if ur talk, just rise up and shoot (like tmac or yao)

I do agree that T-Mac fronting is better than T-Mac posting, but the post adds a dynamic to the game that forces a defender to handle something he perhaps can't. Players who have excellent lateral movement aren't prime fronting candidates, but if you can back them down and get a good fadeaway or power them down, you may have a better shot.

Agree with buttocks and rua, mix it up.

Also can see why people would say for Tmac not to post up, it didn't look too effective.
