He is the modern day Sam Perkins, not an all star this guy is lucky he got a big contract a couple years ago before this playoffs, talk about getting exposed. I dont care who you play on defense, if the guy guarding you is 6'6 and you're a 7 foot shooter you should be doing more than 5 points a game.
Actually, he would never have been able to hold Perkins' jock in his prime... Perkins was a VERY good player, a VERY good shooter, and judging from this year's playoffs, a MUCH better big-game player. Hell, Perkins would probably have been an all-star if he played in this era as well. It wasn't his fault that the centers back then were named Hakeem, David, Patrick, and Shaq. Nowadays, its Yao and ???.
Sam was average in an era of TREMENDOUS big-men. In this era, where basketball is "soft", he'd be above-average.
Sam could, and did, D up. He'd stand at the 3 and make 5s pay. And he could, and did, post up. Sam had heart and big game mentality.
WOW. Let's not wake okur up. He is very good. I'm a big fan of him. He's just not used properly. Utah don't run plays for him. If they do we are in for some major headaches I can ganrantee you that.
Thank you. It is a JOKE to say Okur = Perkins. The skillset, foot speed and mentality of Perkins blows away Okur.
