http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2009/10/15/meghan-mccain-twitter-photo-sparks-controversy/ Meghan McCain, a Daily Beast columnist and daughter of Sen. John McCain, apologized late Wednesday after posting a photo of herself on Twitter that stirred up some criticism and plenty of retweets. See the not-so-controversial picture here The photo shows Ms. McCain in a tanktop, holding a copy of Andy Warhol’s biography, and her accompanying tweet referred to her “’spontaneous’ night in.” With Ms. McCain’s tens of thousands of followers, her snapshot quickly made the rounds. She then began posting follow-up messages defending it. “So I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing but apparently anything other than a pantsuit I am a slut,” she wrote, followed by “what once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment” and “when I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a “slut”, I can’t even tell you how hurt I am.” Later, she added, “I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpic, I have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended.” Ms. McCain’s photo did trigger some criticism. “If @mccainblogette is the future of the GOP, we’re gonna have to get much more serious about real issues like glitter, fabric, and unicorns,” tweeted Danny Coles, a self-described “enlightened, charming, and disarming twenty-something conservative” in Washington, D.C. “Come on, you were taking a picture with your cleav as the centerpiece — on purpose. I don’t care, but let’s be honest.” But those comments were outnumbered by the positive response. “Don’t listen to those peeps, some r just hateful,” wrote Amanda Shannon. “This is rediculous America! Just because someone posts a picture doesn’t make them a slut. Get your heads out of the gutter,” added John Adams. “For the record, @McCainBlogette’s twitpic is probably my favorite Twitpic ever,” wrote Derek Huff. It turns out Ms. McCain’s appeal may cross the political divide. “I may be a super hardcore Dem, but I really find @McCainBlogette to be pretty awesome,” tweeted Melanie Aranda.
Trying not to get this moved to D&D, but I don't see why people getting so worked up over about. She's hot though.
I don't want to even think of what the media will do to our current White House daughters when they are of age to attack like this.
Dude... I'm talking about daughters. Isn't this thread about that? They've been on Chelsea Grammar about stuff before too. 0:45 mark <object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/cso7WKYEfxo&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/cso7WKYEfxo&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
Seriously. I poke fun at my wife for getting her "news" from Entertainment Tonight. I guess she gets the last laugh because the WSJ isn't much different these days. As far as the picture itself goes.... Spoiler <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zwsGw7_H398&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zwsGw7_H398&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
So she has huge knockers. Big deal. How is that news, or even an indictment on an entire political party? And when did having huge boobies in a tanktop make someone a slut? Attention w****, maybe. But slut? Naw.
