stunning nugget in not-Bush's interview w/ Tim Russert:

MR. RUSSERT:_ And you have a hat that the CIA agent gave you?

SEN. KERRY:_ I still have the hat that he gave me, and I hope the guy would come out of the woodwork and say, "I'm the guy who went up with John Kerry. We delivered weapons to the Khmer Rouge on the coastline of Cambodia."_ We went out of Ha Tien, which is right in Vietnam._ We went north up into the border._ And I have some photographs of that, and that's what we did._ So, you know, the two were jumbled together, but we were on the Cambodian border on Christmas Eve, absolutely.

    ------
just one problem, the Khmer Rouge were on the other side!

    KISSINGER!

basso I'm going to Cambodia this summer and instead of taking along a "Rough Guide" or "Lonely Planet", I'm simply going to print out your Cambodian posts from last summer/fall and use them and an astrolabe to navigate my way along the Mekong in a sampan.

No amount of money in the world can compensate the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for the mission critical work they accomplished.

No amount of money could compensate me for the time spent reading this sort of rubbish. However, if you want to send me a check, just make it out to Clutch... a more worthy soul, no doubt.

Just one problem. If he did it with the CIA and the govt's knowledge and blessing, then it wasn't treason.

Of course this story would seem to contradict the Swifties once again.

Reagan sold missles to Iran, how do we know this isn't a similar deal? Giving weapons to the KR to keep them from helping the VC.

As I said doing this at the direction of the U.S. govt. with the CIA isn't treason. So Kerry appears to be neither a liar nor a traitor.

The Swifties, however, with or without this have already been shown to be liars.

Of course the U.S. Justice department which is investigating the felony committed by someone on the President's staff would be about as reliable as one can get.

The source doesn't change the fact that somebody the President appointed commited a felony exposing an intel agent endangering people in the war on terror. That person is still there, and still has top security clearance.

What part of this is conjecture?

The justice department conducting an investigation or that a felony was committed by the outing of Plame?

Unconfirmed reports have Kerry telling Russert:

"If this be treason, make the post of it"
