Hello everyone, I saw on www.sportsradio610.com that Carl Landry is going to be at the Home Theater tomorrow between 6-7PM. The location is going to be at 5805 Westheimer between Fountain View and Chimney Rock. I've met him twice after two games here and he is pretty nice. I thought I would share this with everyone.
Nice! I'll try to make it out there. Unfortunately I don't think they sell Landry jerseys yet(or do they?), so all I have for him to autograph is a Rockets cap.
ask him if he has rockets in his shoes and if thats why he jumps so high and if thats why he played at the right exact level in college to get picked by the rockets because he has rockets in his shoes and thats the name of the team is houston rockets and say it really really fast
I'll be out there with Landry from 5-7, we'll be playing X-Box 360 NBA 2K8 out there with Rockets tickets to give away and lots of other swag.
omg I might faint. What if shakes my hand!!!!!!! I'LL NEVER WASH IT ;LKDSAJFLKSAJDFKL;DSJFLSKDJAFOIRWJEHFIOJENVKERGVOISAFVJSALKFJLSAF excitement.
I tried to meet Sam Cassell at Foley's at Almeda Mall in 1993 before The Rockets blew up and nobody knew who he was. He never showed up. And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again, he said he didn't know. I still have the unsigned 8x10 black and white glossy though.
Yeah it was a good event...we played some 2K8 on their plasmas, and gave away Rockets tickets as well as Dream, Clyde, and Barkley autographed basketballs. Landry is a great guy and very engaging with the fans. Depending on the game schedule, we might be doing one again next week with......wait for it......Rockets Playoff Tickets to giveaway.
Hey, I was there at Almeda mall that year to see Cassell and I was able to get his autograph. I don't recall the store but I know it wasn't Foley's...I think maybe it was a jewelry store...hard to remember. Could have been a different day but that was the only place I saw him while he was a Rocket.
Back in Nigeria I went to same class with Hakeem, he was always starting fights when we called him, "too tall", haha. Fun to see how well everything worked out for him.
its over with J......I think next week they are gonna have a Meet Rafer alston Day...you better come early because the lines are gonna be around the corner They are going to be releasing his new shoe "The ACME air shock II"....in red & white
