    Is ****ing delicious.

Zabak's in Houston is a great little Cafe that serves the absolute BEST Falafel sandwich. The staff is friendly and the food is always prepared fresh.

Also there is a place in Galveston on the Strand called "Mediterranean Chef" that is also very good.

    discuss.

Got some baby octopus stewing with white wine and tomatoes as we speak.

Love me some old school sicilian food in the summer.

LOVE food from the Med. The best falafel sandwich I ever had was an age ago at a little place in Amsterdam (across the street where Batman was run down! ;) ) in the central city. Have never found its like again, although I keep trying. Greek is one of my favorites, as is Lebanese. If Italian counts, or Spanish, I'm there. Moroccan. Heck, it's all good. Now I'm hungry!

I was going to try some Mediterranean food, but then I realized that I had no idea where it came from, so I couldn't with a clear conscience eat that crap.

    Sick.

If you haven't been, try Aladdin's on Montrose and Westheimer. Especially the vegan or vegetarian sampler. You won't believe how much food and how many different dishes are included.

Currently in a beach town of Fethiye in Turkey as I type this and I am extremely dissapointed in turkish cuisine and their lack of creativity in cooking. Every place serves the exact same thing!

Did just have some of the best Chinese food though.

Darband and Bijan rule- but I dont think they're technically Mediterranean? Whatever the case, they're both off of 59 and great.

Aladdins is awesome (close to UH- down the street from Niko Nikos). Dimassis used to rule (the village location used to be really good for the price and buffet, but their quality dropped off big time.

    Hummus+Taboli= win.

Istanbul in the village is pretty good too, next to little woodrows in the village- parking can be a real hassle tho (then again, it is the village)

I've heard a couple of friends say this is pretty good food. Being in Dallas, I've never tried it, though. I've tried Fadi's and it was good. I don't recall it being "great", but I've only tried it once.

I live in the loop so it's La Fendi for me, a little bit expensive though.
