There are a few cases - just google it. One was a woman whose husband tried to blow her face off with a shotgun. Another was a woman who was attacked by a monkey. Recently there was some guy who got one, but I can't remember why he needed a transplant.

Lots of cool medical stuff going on.

"Surgeons in Sweden have carried out the world's first synthetic organ transplant."

False. TCH just did an artificial heart transplant and Methodist and St. Lukes have been doing artificial hearts for a while as well. Maybe first trachea but by no means first synthetic organ transplant.

I'll take one for the eyes, for sure. Rev up those stem cells!

Its too bad it'll be abused to no end. Life and morality as we know it wont mean s**t. The world will be nothing but a bunch of uppity healthy hippie yuppies reading books and playing music all day getting all the benefits.

Cool stuff. If they can continue down this path we can eliminate the need for organ donors (or lack of).
