If one has a difficult bowel movement one day.. and manages to egest most of it with much straining, but is suddenly unable to evacuate completely.. as strain now turns to pain.. and the remaining stool seems immovable.. and the next day you run into the same problem, as if it were the same immovable or too painful to pass stool.. but with other more recent soft almost diarrihea-like fecal matter seeming to push its way through it or around it..

is it simple constipation, or has it turned into something like a bowel obstruction?

yeah I know.. I should probably be asking a doctor about this.. but, in hoping to save some time.. and being someone that tends to over-complicate things.. instead of ending up making time for a trip to the Doctor's office for simple constipation.. which can be treated at home.. i thought i'd ask here.. and see if this has happened to someone here and/or might hopefully, have what's possibly an obvious answer.

    Hmm......

You could always go take some over the counter medications to see if it helps, but maybe on the safe side, you should check it out with the doctors.

Have you always normally been regular, or have you had a history of constipation type problems?

Go for the metamucil it is the best there is. Otherwise you could always just take some pepto or malox. I feel like my grandfather....Get your fiber! :D

if it keeps backing up, there is a possibility of it coming out of your mouth.

and no im not ****ting you. (no pun intended :D )

    otc laxatives or prune juice.

but if its really painful, u should go see a doc.

Yeah man go see a doctor.

I am the most regular guy on earth I know. I mean I drop deuces like clockwork. But here are some ways for less regular people to get more fiber

*Benefiber drink mix-in. There is literally no grit. You won't even notice you are taking it. They also have pills.
    *Fiber filled cereals.
    *Foods with bran in them

You don't want to do laxatives. Those don't sound pleasant.

It's happened to me before. The only remedy I know of is fiber and lots of water.

Painful bowel movements are the worst. Sometimes I get sharp pains in the morning and end up with diarrhea. Then it turns into some sort of horrifying constipation. Usually it subsides after awhile, but man is it a bad experience. I feel for you.

Check your poo. If it's black or bloody, there's bleeding in the intestine.
