Media running full steam behind the new Curry narrative and pressuring the reffs

I love the Rockets. I hate the NBA and the media

 

Yup, if we suddenly see the phantom fouls called then we know what’s up.

 

The league is thirsty for a Lakers - Warriors second round. Expect some serious reffing shenanigans from the NBA.

 

I fear that the refs will target Thompson. He hasn't dealt w foul trouble all season, but watch, Thomspon's fouls will be the narrative of a few games.

 

I commented here 2-3 days ago the NBA stopped giving Curry the benefit of the doubt several years ago. I'm sure many here disagree.

IMO, he brought it upon himself for flopping too many times. There was a time his flopping while shooting 3s exceeded James Harden. Then, in what seemed to me a sudden turn, the refs stopped babying him. It was kinda funny at the time.

Where Curry gets fouled the most without calls is off the ball when he's trying to get open. Defenders shove him all over the place. It's all good though because guys like Jalen Brunson get battered even more. Our very own Dillon Brooks has adapted and does most of his non-called "dirty work" off the ball because the refs rarely call it.

 

the refs already moved on from chef curry. they now protek the buttler and his pet donkeh.

 

Curry only averages about four free throw attempts per game, so if he all of a sudden starts shooting 10 free throws like he did against the clippers last week, you’ll know the fix is in.

Jimmy seems to be the new free throw favorite. The Warriors crying about lack of fouls calls is rich. I’m betting they get at least 7+ more attempts than us every single game.

not to mention Donkey gets away with assault out there with his shoves, nut shots and yelling at the refs without any repercussions.

 

Would not be a rockets warriors series without at least one eye poke. And if I'm Adams I am wearing something to protect my nuts.

 

I'm just glad it's not the Splash Bros. to look at for 7 games.

As much as we should be concerned about Curry, I'm more concerned with Donkey causing an injury and/or getting away with everything because the refs are intimidated.

At the time of that obscene Kevin Durant four-steps-out-of-bounds play in what - 2016? - I would've been absolutely sick to know we'd still be playing these undercutting, moving screen, clutch and grab dicks in 2025. Do better, NBA. Call the game the same for all 30 franchises.

 

Nothing new about it, Butler has had one of the highest free throw rates in the entire league for over a decade. He just flies under the radar a bit because he's a lower usage player, so his raw FTA per game isn't super high. But he's the #1 flopper in the league imo.

 

Learn from the Wolves. You have to beat the Lakers or Warriors for at least 20 points to overcome being cooked by the refs.

 

the warriors do this everytime they aren't the overwhelming favorite in a playoff series. Remember that series a couple years back when the warriors went down 0-2 in the first round vs the kings and kerr/draymond started crying to the espn media and then the refs just "magically" the warriors started getting favorable calls and allowed to get away with moving screens lol just like they did in 2018 vs the rockets

 

he still gets calls, was just was never the floor raiser harden was so it was harder for steph to overcome that without a stacked team

ESPN and sports media in general are trying to will the Warriors and Lakers into the second round.

When Amen has Curry clamped up, I can just imagine every NBA "journalist" getting out of their seat and flapping their arms, praying that the heavens can save their little prince from Thompson's demonic vise.
