Geeez, its been well over a month since I won my book on ebay. The person said they sent it "Media Mail"... Does it take this long?!
I've never heard of media mail being a different type of mail. Whenever I send CDs and stuff, I send it regular post, and sometimes they stamp "Media Mail" on it.
Media Mail is like it putting it on the slow boat to China. I don't think it has any priority when items are in transit. I think Media Mail sits behind the stacks of magazines and catalogs to be delivered... Oily... you should call up your buddy Lance Armstrong and see if he can speed up the package or deliver it himself.
from: http://www.usps.com Media Mail Generally used for books (at least eight pages), film, printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed educational charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information, and computer-readable media. Advertising restrictions apply. There are presorted rates available for bulk quantities of Media Mail (minimum quantity is 300 pieces). There is also a barcoded discount available for Media Mail. This is the absolute slowest way to mail an item, ask Mr_0ily of the Clutch City BBS!
