MD 20/20..... Brings me back to my high school underage drinking days. MD 20/20, coors light, and boone's farm plus some parents going out of town.... Those were the days. Ironically I was the youngest of my group, but I could grow facial hair at the age of 15 (just swarthy as f*ck) so I was the guy who went into the hood convenience store that didn't card. Could buy a lot of underage booze in Fondren Southwest. Got popped in a sting when I was in college on vacation in Houston. No bueno.
I currently have a bottle of Jager.....but it has not been opened and I've had it for about 2 years now. I won't drink goldschlager ever again, I had a bad experience once. There's no such thing as a good experience with MD 20/20 Jager wins by default. also
I was the 'get alcohol' guy in HS too, but I was the one who had the balls to wait in the parking lot and pick a rough looking guy to go up to, give cash and wait for him to bring the beer or liquor out.
If those are the choices, then Jager. I used to do Jager bombs for breakfast during my low point in college. What a time it was.
MD 20/20 was the go to for good times when young and bad times as I've aged. I haven't drank any since we laid my father to rest a few years ago.
Mad Dog doesn't belong with the other two which are more "drunken frat boy" as opposed to "wino in a gutter". Also, it comes in about 1,000,000 different flavors, each gross in their own special unique way. There should be a separate "bum wine" thread, with MD 20/20, Thunderbird, Night Train, Ripple, and Wild Irish Rose (and maybe Boone's Farm, though it is seriously upscale relative to the others).
Ummm.... so Goldschläger is the worst thing ever, too easy to drink and when I was young it was the worst night drinking I have ever experienced ie I probably was a little poisoned. I can drink it now (nearly 20 years later) but I remember trying it first time after that and like physically feeling sick, it took some time to get used to it again even though it's a really easy shot (big red would even wreck me for a while after that night), I mean for example at that time straight harder shots were easier than taking the gold after that night. That's the only alcohol to ever do that to me after great night turned into a bad night - I'll never forget (I wish I did forget that one though....). these were those early years where everyone thinks they're invincible.... Late teens/early 20s or so.. Now Jager, that stuff.... , I made a bad experience (young again/same timeframe) deciding to mix random stuff since we didn't have redbull atm, worst. idea. ever. It Would have been much better to drink the stuff as a shot vs the stuff I was doing that wasn't even needed (so young and dumb...). I mean Jager by itself is nothing but I was trying to make some random bullshit up. Terrible time. I really just prefer beer now. Never really got too into liquor after early UT years and plenty of nights on 6th. So by default, lets just mix all 3!! Oh wait... I think I already mentioned that story, haha
The lads and I did that some, but after consecutive times of getting screwed by the "hey mister" guy we got lucky with "Tony" at a convenience store off Gessner and Fondren. I think he had a like a button on the cash register for underage kids that charged an extra 30%.
