http://www.titansonline.com/ He'll be back. Also the Titans traded Carlos Hall (DE) to the Chiefs for a 5th round pick. Titans have 8 of the first 150 picks-- should be an interesting draft for them.
Fisher said Steve was going to April Fools his retirement. That would have been a good one. This is Texans related because it means the Texans won't win the division. McNair to Bennett! McNair to Calico! Day'um. Let the good times roll.
"Other Houston sports..." (Texans, Astros, Comets) vs. "... just any interest..." (Hangout) I think this is the right place. Nitpickers untie!
I don't think you'll find too much nitpicking on this BBS about the suckiness of the franchise that is the Tennessee Titans. Right forum or not. It originally was not, btw.
This is freakin' fantastic news. Now if we can just get Mike Williams to slip to #6, I'd be ecstatic. But I'd still take Rolle and be just as happy.
I'm kind of worried about this combo. McNair developed great chemistry with Mason, while Volek to Bennett was obviously lethal at the end of last season. I sure hope McNair can adjust to making Bennett his primary option while Calico (and hopefully Williams) emerges.
I hate to burst the bubble of those that are glad that McNair is (supposedly) going to retire. While watching Seinfeld on the local Fox station out of Nashville, they kept running on the bottom of the screen that Steve McNair is NOT retiring and will be back next season.
I'm almost ready for the team to go with Volek as the starter and keep McNair's experience around for 5 years or so as a quality backup-- with a re-negotiated contract of course.
Did he sign that contract with the $50 million bonus. I vaguely recollect that figure being thrown around over the offseason.
