How of much of the issues we are having with Free Agents and Trades can be attributed to Kevin McHale? I don’t think players like playing for him and therefore are not attracted to Houston. Conversely, it seems like Rick Adelman is not having any issues recruiting talent to Minnesota. Granted that they have some key pieces which help. I think McHale was an extremely poor hire. He didn’t have a great track record and in light of the comments made by Lowry and Martin – further show why he isnt the best person for the job.
McHale is very talented at telling guys how good they're not and how good he was. McHale is what Singletary was for the 49ers and we need to find our Jim Harbaugh!!!
I thought the issue was being stuck in mediocrity. I seriously doubt Adelman would have stuck around as we let go of Lowry, Gogi, Martin, Lee, Scola etc. He was against rebuilding and against giving up "his" guys. Probably would have serious reservations about getting a superstar big such as Dwight. McHale is a good boy, he does what he's told.
Adelman shouldn't have been let go but he was not on the same page as les/morey. It's too early to say he was a poor hire and if anything players might not liking coming to an organization that will constantly have their names out there in trade rumors. It's only been on year and yea a lot of players didn't like his rotations but we weren't winning either. Winning solves everything, no one questions when Pop does it, thats because the spurs win, A LOT!
Adelman is too attached to his assistance coaches and players Alston, Battier, Martin, Miller and Landry.
McHale is a good coach, but Adelman is a great one. Les and Morey fired Adelman because they wanted completely rebuild the team. Morey is a GM who treats the players like assets, on the other hand Adelman is a coach who is too attached to his assistance coaches and players even they are known to be useless...
