Solomon had this question which has been brought by a few McGrady fans here:

    http://twitter.com/JeromeSolomon/status/7141446915
    Is this a legitimate concern?

Wasn't there also that story of McGrady getting Brian Grant kicked off the Magic?

I don't think any player considering the Rockets can look harshly on how he was treated here. His reputation around the league is well known. Any player who might hesitate to come here based on McGrady's stay is someone we don't want in a Rockets' uniform anyway.

As some of your links showed, McGrady is a joke among other players.

Solomon has been nestled deep in those short short hairs since Tmac got here.

McGrady's rep preceded him before he got to Houston. Its not like players don't congregate and don't spread words about each other. I'm sure a good number in the NBA player fraternity is somewhat familiar with McGrady's personality.

No, and nothing Jerome Soloman ever says is legitimate.

Was he actually called The Big Sleep because of work ethic? Or because he often looks tired and very sleepy?

It was Horace Grant not Brian Grant.

It was a telling sign when Artest and Von Wafer laughed at TMac when he hung himself on the breakaway dunk attempt in Milwaukee.

You're crazy if you think Mac still doesn't have a strong rep as a player throughout the league. If you could ask players on random teams, most would still say he's a great player. Look, the guys practically gone so why is the same old, old people on here trashing him?

It cant be denied that he was very talented. No one is questioning that. It is his work ethic and his demeanor that is in question. If we, the fans can see a problem with it, then i am sure those who are close to him and are in the NBA are well aware of it.

sure mcgrady has his share of critics among whatever kinds of people, but he still has a lot of respect among the NBA players. dwayne wade publicly defended mcgrady last year in regards to his knee injury. and kobe has always had nice things to say about tmac.

as long as tracy can return anywhere to his close form, he'll be fine.

but can we stop with tmac threads in the GARM? he's not a rocket anymore.

even if he's finally packed up and limped out of toyota center, the problem is his $23M con-tract is still eating away our cap this season

so it's reasonable to have GARM discussion about how that cap space can be better utilized via trade etc

plus let's face it, that douchey little drama queen deserves all the hate he's getting from rockets fans :)

I disagree. The ones to worry are the ones who have something to hide and do not want it to be exposed (Ex: lack of work ethic)

Consider the T-Mac treatment more of a filter rather than a negative warning sign.

Some players may not respect him, but that is not something that shows the lack of it. Hell, I'd laugh at anyone who gets hung as a professional basketball player.

t-mac literally is "amazing". i highly doubt he's spent 1/4 of the time kobe's spent working on his game, yet everything comes so natural to him.

Solomon is terrible. He was subbing in on the Calvin Murphy show today...I couldn't listen.
