Good for T-mac, but I want to see him win at Orlando more than I want to see him be player of the week...

    I agree.

Anything less than 50 points from him will be a disappointment.

I hope he has a good one on one talk with Yao about how much this game means to him.

Let's not forget Juwan Howard either.

TMAC really deserves that honor. But, his team looks like last year's Magic now.

That doesn't matter to the poster. It'll turn into a Me-mac arguement in any minute and how Yao is this and that because of T-mac.

You know, TMac doesn't do much on his own behalf to erase the "MeMac" label. I mean shoot, a couple of games when Bobby Sura went off, TMac's response was, "He reminded me a lot of myself out there." And often his best praise of teammates is along the lines of, "Yeah, he really helped me get some open shots tonight."

We know you're good, TMac. You don't hafta take anything away from someone else's game.

My feeling too. If you want to throw jabs at the other posters on this board, there are a number of threads out there for you to make your day. Please leave this positive thread alone.

Tmac is well-deserved of the title. Five good games in a row. Please help the Rockets to keep winning, Tmac!

    This would be nice.

I read a translation of an article on the YOF site saying that Yao and T-Mac have never really spoken to each other, despite the fact that T-Mac has at least once visited Yao at his home. Apparently, they're both just too damned quiet and laid back. Well, at least T-Mac is. Yao's probably got language/cultural issues holding him back. It must suck for him not to have someone gregarious like Steve-O around anymore to break the ice.

This YOF cult even has its own site!

Yao and Tmac needs to live together, be the best pal off the court in order for them to gel on the court. Tha's it.

You and Charvo need to sort this one out. Charvo claimed that:

    in this thread:

    http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?threadid=89838&perpage=30&pagenumber=10

I asked him what he has seen to draw this conclusion yesterday. I am still waiting for his reply and insights.

    RF,

There's nothing to sort out, I don't think. The article to which I was referring was about how they've never really talked off the court. The article was translated at the beginning of December, so maybe YaoMac have buddied up since then.

True, being good buds off the court isn't always necessary, but it wouldn't hurt. Remember what Jim Jackson said about how he loved playing for the Kings because the guys on the team hung out together and were good friends off the court, and how important that was to the team's chemistry/success on the court?

On the other hand, you have Kobe/Shaq, Cooper/Swoopes, so no, it's not necessary to be buds to have on court success, but would it hurt to at least talk? According to the article, Yao and T-Mac's lockers are next to each other, but they rarely talk. Supposedly, Yao just doesn't know what to say to T-Mac.

Oh and I got it backwards. Yao went to T-Mac's house, not the other way around.

Yao, if you can't think of anything to say to Tmac, just bring a case of beer, or your favorite hard liquor. Repeat a few times and you'll be the best of friends. Or, you could go for Mo's alternative. ;)
