Assume that you have to, and that you can trade one of them. Which one gets voted off the island? Take everything into account when making your choice: health, contracts, past history, likelihood of receiving value in return, 2010, etc.

No third option, just a simple choice.

    Artest

    Tracy is just injury prone.

I'm not going to change my mind that he might be lazy yet though. But... if his body truly hasn't healed... then it's simply, his body is weak.

Another factor. We trade Artest; our trade value would suck.

We trade Tracy next year; his 22 million expiring could get us something big.

Keep Ron. From today's game, we can find Ron is the man who can take the enegy in the game.

Keep tracy. His contract is huge and letting it expire will be freaking awesome.

    Neither option?

    Fact is,

Artest, you're playing for your next deal, I just hope it is somewhere else, no disrespect, notihng personal, good luck to you.

Tracy, I would not at this point spit on you if I saw you in a ditch in flames. You are playing games and I do not want you on my team anymore. You would get the straight Marbury treatment were I in charge.

And Yao, love your attitude and parts of your game big fella, you are a true inspiration to how a professional athlete should play the game and live his life; that said, I have serious doubts as to whether "Yao ball" will ever win in this league, so maybe you should just opt out. I wish you the very best, maybe with a true superstar like Kobe or Lebron your deficiencies could be overcome but it probably isn't going to happen here.

I guess the proverbial reset button is what I'm getting at.

    LOCK. NO choice for both?

Both are not dependable. TMac is always hurt and still has a better 3 pt % than Artest.......... both are sorry for this team.

What? Artest brings toughness and heart to this team.
    Tracy?
Artest is shooting higher than 40 percent from 3 this season
    Tracy-37 percent.
Artest plays with a hurt ankle yet people forget he's still hurt because he mans up and doesn't show it.
    Tracy....

Now your going to tell me Artest sucks?

He ain't no super star but he commands a double team in the post.
    Tracy?

Not a great team player to me sorry all playground and no teamer and definitely not consistent.

Don't cry if he takes a bad 3 pt shot in the playoffs.

He's got heart but not a lot of BRAIN.....and this is a contract year for him? Pretty scary how he does not fit this team. I think this team is to soft for him and he is not bright enough for the team concept this team is supposedly built upon.

Nah, trade for Marbury and you will have an expiring contract along with Ron's this season.

Artets until proven otherwise. Tmac will always be injured and is probably done. He needs to retire to save face.

I don't want either of them anymore on the Rockets...so trade Artest this year for a PG, and trade Tmac and his expiring next year for other talented players that fit better with Yao.

    Time to move on....

We have seen glimmers of what Ron is capable of at times during this season...

His injury really affected him more then people want to believe. I see no reason to get rid of Artest.

Trade Tmac... he has done nothing for this team other then be consistently inconsistent...

I'd prefer neither, but of the 2: Artest

(Where has his vaunted D been?)

I think Artest could still fit in. Not his fault that the Rockets' resident prima donna went into meltdown mode this season.

Speaking of which, it's ironic that the talking heads were wondering if the Rockets would implode due to Artest while it's T-Mac who's torpedoed the ship.

Man I voted wrong. I read your post and it said which one gets voted off the island. Great. Artest should go.

    The reason is simple:
T-Mac is not good for team.
    Ron is good for team.

    Haven't you heard DaDa?
The Rockets have NO interest in bringing Kirk Hinrich.

    Time to move on.... ;)
