Seeing Kobe dismantle the Suns with his cast of characters on the Lakers, I could not help but wonder how T-mac would do if he was on the Lakers instead of Kobe. Assuming T-mac is healthy, I think T-mac would have been more impressive than Kobe. I think he could definitely be up against the Suns 3-2. I think he could get his teammates better involved as he is a better passer. We all know how capable he is as far his range and scoring ability. Just look at T-mac's playoff performances from the past. Whenever he has been in the playoffs, his first round stats are at the top of the playoff participants. It is so disheartening to not see T-mac and Yao in the playoffs, so I just was wondering what you guys thought.

I think Mcgrady would do just fine and better during the season and in the post season.

What you are seeing now is when Kobe wants to involve his teammates and win.

During the season, it's every man for himself on the Lakers.

Assuming T-Mac is healthy, the Rockets are in the playoffs, in which case, I don't give a sh*t about the Rockets.

Just wondering: how is Kobe "dismanteling" the Suns? He did that during the regular season, yes, but the most impressive thing now is how much he's involving his teammates and playing a team game, not taking the Suns 1-on-5.

Anyways, I don't know how he would've done, it's a purely hypothetical situation. I think it would be pointless to speculate one way or the other.

T-mac couldn't hold Kobe's jock strap. And I love T-mac and hate Kobe, so it pains me to say that.

Tmac performance during playoffs really dont matter much because he has not passed the first round yet. Kobe has been playing awesome in this playoffs even with his points down and its seems that they will pass the first round. Honestly its really hard to tell if tmac is better or Kobe. They both play amazing bball in their own ways.

You know, Tmac will be the most amazing basketball player if he passes the 1st round all by himself. Kobe and not even MJ has done that.

Also i dont understand why is there so much hate for Kobe??? Honestly Kobe is the best players I have seen playing since Jordan at his position. He can do everything on the court shoot, pass, rbound, steals. 35.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.6 spg. Not to mention an 81 points performance. Tmac is very capable of pulling these kind of stats, but he has not because of injury problems. But atleast give kobe some credit of the performance he puts on every night. IMO Kobe is far better player than Tmac at this stage.

Exactly. I mean of course everyone here likes Tmac but you can't be biased enough to say they are still even. If anything this year koobe showed he is superior to tmac. I mean you can argue that he was injured which is a valid statement, but breaking the record for most 40+ pt games in laker history as well as the 81 pt performance was just uncanny.

Just hopefully tmac can come back to his normal healthy self and try to make the comparisions closer again.

Kobe is one of the most talented players ever, however he hadn't learned to play team basketball until this playoff series. He's got 3 rings because he begrudgingly occasionally gave Shaq the ball in the paint. He got Shaq & Phil run because he thought he could do it alone. That's why I don't like him.
