SEVERAL NBA ACTION FIGURE TWO-PACKS EN ROUTE New James/T-Mac Box Features Hardwood Classics Unis December 3, 2004 Two is always better than one and this season's NBA Sports Picks lineup offers three different two-packs for our collectors. Each two-pack comes with a pair of figures and exclusive bases to allow display together or separately. Our first two-pack is available right now, featuring reigning MVP Kevin Garnett taking on Ben Wallace, the heart of Detroit's championship team. Both figures are based on their second-edition sculpts, with Garnett wearing Minnesota's black uniform and Wallace sporting the Pistons' home white. The two superstars set up together poised for a mid-air collision -- does K.G. dunk the ball or does Big Ben get the swat? Look for this item in stores now! The next two-pack for this season is a blast from the past. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets will square off later this season on a "Hardwood Classics" night, with each team wearing throwback jerseys. This two-pack will feature the second versions of our LeBron James and Tracy McGrady figures, both painted in their "old school" throwback jerseys. This will be the first time we've offered McGrady as a Rocket -- his previous figures showcased him with his old team, the Orlando Magic. The LeBron/T-Mac two-pack will be available in stores in February 2005.
Cool! I will be all over that figure. But I am disappointed that they are not making a Tmac with the CURRENT Rockets uniform to match with the last two Yao figures. I could give a rats ass about retro unis that look god awful! Still, it will be nice to have a Tmac in a Rockets uniform. Thanks for the news!
Same thing crossed my mind when I saw that, I was reminded about how I didn't like our jerseys at first and I realized that I still don't. I almost started a thread after I looked at the NBA store and checked out everybody else's jerseys. I wanted to ask people if anybody else thought ours were still the worst in the league. That throwback is similar to what I thought we would be getting. Something simple and classic, minus the yellow of course. Look at the other newer jerseys around the league; Dallas, Detroit, Memphis, Utah, Orlando, and Denver all have a simple, clean, and classic look. Also, I still don't get why people hated the Rocket with the teeth. One complaint was the dildo/vibrator complaint. Take a look at the logo: The left stick of the R looks more like a vibrator than the last logo. It had little boosters on the side and the nose had a sharp point. And the arches, nose cones, racing stripes, or whatever they are look just as gimicky as the pin stripes on the last jersey. Even though they are an upgrade, they are still the worst in the league. I hope our alternates, like the Mavs, don't resemble the current jerseys at all. Hopefully it will be a design so awesome that the people of Houston will beg for a switch.
That is so freaking cool, but they got the shoes wrong Oh well, beggers cant be choosers. Anyone have any idea when retro nights is??? 3/24 or 12/29 The article seems to imply we are playing the Cavs. I personally hope we wear our retro jerseys for the maximum amount of games allowed. I know we can wear them more than one night. I need to start saving up for some serious retro gear!!! Thanks!
