Injured Nuggets F McDyess hopes to be back in February January 27, 2002 DENVER (AP) -- Injured Nuggets forward Antonio McDyess hopes to return from left knee surgery soon. McDyess, an All-Star last season, had tendon surgery in October and hasn't played this season. ``I feel that I will definitely be back next month,'' McDyess said after playing in a 12-minute scrimmage Saturday. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound forward said he had a ``good alley-oop dunk, but another time I tried to dunk and couldn't make it to the rim.'' He averaged 20.8 points, a career-high 12.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks last season. ------------------------------------ Thank god, drafting him too early in my fantasy bball league has been killing me.. however, I feel that it will take him a month to be a productive player.
Great news since I got him on my fantasy team as well! I hope he comes back full force right from the beginning. But who knows...within 6 weeks he said he was going to come back within one week, not at all, then he says sometime during February...so I'll just wait and see.
is this all you guys can say? thank god cuz hes on my fantasy team? comeon! what about the greatness that are the denver nuggets and the help it shall bring this storied franchise?! this is great for the nuggets, not your teams. oh btw, how great am i to have traded mashburn for mcdyess a few days ago which at the time, seemed like a meaningless joke trade for the both of us!
All indications point to Jamal Mashburn rejoining the Hornets after the All-Star break. "I don't want to say anything definite, but there's a possibility I'll start practicing Feb. 11," Mashburn told the Winston Salem Journal. "That's the tentative date I'm looking at right now." Mashburn has been on the injured list since Nov. 20 with a strained abdominal muscle. Good news for both of us yesterday
