Did anyone hear on 610 the other morning what the 'friction' was between John McClain and Richard justive over the VY scores from the weekend?

I got the last part of the conversation between John / Lance and did not get the context.

Just wondering...because I know that McClain has put his 'reputation' on the line that the Texans will draft him.

    Thanks.

I believe the friction is that they reported different stories.

I know one is a lot more respected NFL writer than the other....

One issue is whether there was an actual "6" test score. RJ thinks there was one but JM says no...

That explains the unseasonably warm temperatures today. That's a lot of hot air.

JM put his reputation on the line that we'll draft VY? Isn't he credible when it comes to the Texans? I would think that's big news..

JM is very knowledgeable about the Texans situation, but he usually has no emotional attachment to the situation. Due to his man-crush on VY I don't think he is seeing the situation clearly. All signs point to the Texans taking Bush or trading down. He is basing his argument on VY being able to persuade Kubiak to draft him.

I agree...his man crush on VY is embarassing. His implies that he has some inside info on how / why the Texans will pick VY. I didn't know if after the weekend his 'I guarantee that the Texans pick VY' wavered.

The other person that is Brokeback Mountain for VY is Rich Lord. That guys needs to get a life concerning him and his Man Love.

Rich and Marc give me a headache when they talk about Vince Young, they say things that make me want to kick them in the mouth sometimes, had to turn it off a little while ago.

Every time i have listened to the show and JM is on there the guy is totally in love with VY and he is one sided on those views. He looks like he is campaigning for VY to come here through any market.

One thing is for sure. If it is one man who does have some sort of inside info. on the Texans, it's McClain.

I've never been a fan of R. Justice (and it's not just because of his recent change of heart). IIRC, Justice was originally the "baseball" guy for the Chronicle and he somehow managed to get some Rocket and Texans articles as well. I remember Justice writing one of the worst articles I have ever read on the Rockets last season (or the year before), it just just terrible.

Justice has been flip-flopping quite a bit so far IMO. He was pro-Bush at first, then pro-Young, and has gone back to pro-Bush.

I realllly don't like reading Justice. I think he makes stupid observations, and he might be the biggest flip-flopper ever. And, he always gives up on Houston's teams it seems. I know I'm just one of quite a few on here that aren't too fond of the guy.

McClain better be wrong 'bout drafting VY.

McClain does want us to draft VY but he said Bush is a great prospect and he'd still be happy if we drafted Reggie.

Whats weird is how such a football guru (and he is well respected among sportswriters) can be sucked into such tunnel vision on this hometown product. I love VY but the Texans need so many things other than a QB that wont start for 2-3 years. You'd think he could see through his man crush.

Personally I hope the Jets draft Young because I'm stuck watching Jets games here in NYC. Well, actually I hope the Jets draft Cutler, but VY would be cool, too.
