I really admired John for taking the boos during the primaries when he insisted that immigration reform be compassionate. Shoulda chosen Liebermann, and ran a sincere campaign, he might have gotten more Hispanic support and been competitive.

But, but, but, but,....Dubya appointed Alberto Gonzalez and look how Hispanic voters repaid the GOP after that. No gratitude at all. :(

Thats the typical excuse for the Obama supporter. Just admit you were wrong in electing him. I understand it was emotional time for Americans. Unfortunatly Americans were thinking with their hearts and not their minds. The type of government that is starting with this new campaign is very scary. I could go off into tangents here but I'm not in the mood to type that much. Just stop blaming Bush for everything... It's really pathetic. Its like some of you all are looking for an out when Obama is recognized as the worst President ever.

Why admit anyone was wrong for voting for Obama? He's done a pretty good job so far. He's really started changing the things from the horrible un-American way they were under Bush/Cheney.

How can you say he's doing a good job when he's not?

The man has been in office for less than 100 days. Did you expect him to solve immigration, health care, the biggest financial crisis in 60 years, two wars and bake everybody cookies by Jan 21st

Obama's done a good job so far

What did Bush do in 8 years?

How can you say he's not? Especially when it could take years to realize the full impact, positive or negative, of some of the major decisions he's made.

They made their choice...the right one.

It really seems as if the guy would have made a terrible president. Imagine if he'd acted like that at the G20 meeting. Embarrassing. And his backup....ouch.

And that's the typical take of the GOP denialist. Many, many of us were thinking very clearly with our minds -- you happen to disagree with our minds, which is fine. To me, we've elected arguably the most intelligent and data-driven president of my 40-year lifetime, and I am happy about that. Our nation deserves an intelligent president, and the nation desperately needs a data-driven president.

As a scientist, I leaned strongly toward a candidate who actually had a scientific advisory council during the election, just to give you an example of one part of one Obama voter's thinking. Cheers.

Love him or hate him, how anyone can say "mistake" at this point, and claim to be using their mind. It's too early to declare him much of anything other than hardworking and well-spoken. We'll see if he's a success or mistake after many years.

What makes you think Obama is intelligent and data-driven? Seriously, what in his life can you point to which supports this position? You know he doesn't write the words that he mouths, correct? He's a great narrator. Fantastic at it. But intelligent? Back that up.

You have to be somewhat intelligent to graduate from Columbia University (B.A.) and Harvard Law School (Juris Doctor) right? You have to be somewhat intelligent to be named President of the Harvard Law Review.....right? You have to somewhat intelligent to be a law professor at The University of Chicago Law School .....right?

Maybe I am wrong though.....it does seem like an joe off the street can accomplish that.

 You know Obama is just a puppet anyway. He is just a front for the real people making decisions in this country and well the world. The media told people who to vote for and it was clearly bias. They targeted the youth, women, and the African American's. He has not come through with any of his promises. He said he would bring back the soldiers from Iraq. He gets elected and sends 4,000 more troops into Afghanistan. Hmm? It's just strange. He tells you something and does the complete opposite. He's an amazing speaker and actor. I swear Hollywood could be in that guys future. Look bottom line he's working for Wall Street. Look at how hansomly they've been rewarded through this economic crisis. Couincidence? Anyway I could go on forever. We just need to stop the bleeding. It's just hard to imagine how much damage will be done on the country when Obamas term is up. Us, our children and children's children will be picking up the Multi-Trillion dollar tab this admininstration will impose on us.

I do agree that the man is intelligent. But so was Hitler, and Stalin.
