I cannot possibly listen to anything this man says when he makes such an error. He would do well to thank God he didn't use "your" instead of the contraction.

McCain Rips Off Obama's Slogan And Logo

Is John McCain trying to be the older, whiter, more conservative Barack Obama?

On Tuesday, the Senator co-opted the slogan that has come to personify Obama's candidacy, taking the Illinois Democrat's "Change You Can Believe In" and altering it into "A Leader You Can Believe In."

The line donned McCain's lime-green backdrop as he addressed supporters in Louisiana. During that speech, moreover, the Arizonan took his Obama-posing a step further, uttering the word "change" more than 30 times, compared to Obama's 16. Not that Obama can claim sole ownership of the word or idea, but still...

Now there is this. On Wednesday, the McCain campaign put out a new homepage, featuring his new, Obama-like slogan, and an image that seems uncannily similar to Obama's trademark campaign logo - the red and white stripped valley under what appears to be a blue sun (or in McCain's case, blue sun rays). Take a look.

Horrific! If McCain tries to run his campaign on a slogan of "Change We Can Believe In", he will get roasted. Like the one guy said, giving this speech was a very poor decision by his team. They basically set McCain up on a tee and gave Obama a driver.

I'm getting a little worried about McCain. Since clinching the nod, he has crashed. I'm sure they have some solid ideas on how they want to frame things going forward, but it's about time for some clarity. If all the GOP can do is throw stones at Obama while McCain stands there like an uninspiring corpse, the next 5 months will be painful.

Good lord. McCain is simply in over his head. There's no way he can win this election. The only way that happens is if Obama loses it, and he will not. Not this year and certainly not against John McCain.

    Impeach Bush.

Call me a flip-flopper, but last year I said nominating McCain would be the same as nominating Bob Dole in 1996: A definite loser. But after McCain's resurrection, I began to think more of him as a candidate and as a president.

However, from my standpoint, the last 2-3 weeks for McCain couldn't have gone much worse. I'm beginning to think like you, but I will also say that age may have something to do with it. This can't be the same McCain we saw in 2000.

He's looking more and more like Bob Dole, but there is still time to turn it around.

That speech reminded me of Dole when he threw in the hail mary don't use drugs program (say nope to dope or just don't do it whatever the slogan was) right before the election against Clinton. The difference is McCain is throwing the hail mary (that's not change we can believe in) at the beginning of the campaign -- trouble.

As Democrats buzzed this week about their new de facto nominee, his historic candidacy and the unlikely political demise of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Republican circles were humming with another topic.

The topic: Is there a way John McCain can win the presidency without giving another speech?

He isn't ripping Obama off. He's making a point that Obama is making empty promises of change and that Obama doesn't have the experience to get the job done. That whole change mantra is Obama's entire campaign.
