Entertainment Television said Tuesday that it has greenlighted an unscripted series that will follow newly single singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb as she re-enters the dating world. The eight-episode series, titled "#1 Single," will feature Loeb as she moves back to New York and starts dating again for the first time since college. The half-hour series is set to premiere in January. "Lisa Loeb is smart, talented, quirky and endearing, with a genuinely engaging and relatable lifestyle," E! Networks senior FP programming development Lisa Berger said. "She is experiencing the same thing that many single professional people her age today are learning, which is how challenging it can be to find someone to share their hectic and sometimes complicated lives." Meanwhile, the Grammy-nominated Loeb said she believes the show will be a way to "connect with more people on a larger scale." This has to be one the most desperate acts by a talented artist that I've seen in a long time. So that means I have only about 2 weeks to move to NY City to get ready for production and to work on my Ethan Hawke slacker/poet, Dweezil Zappa alt. musician vibe. I guess my only competition will be Jeff and all the other nerdy,eyeglass wearing girls are hottie's dudes of this board. The fact that I can actually stand her music will eventually make me the victor.
