Dream's out, Tmass out, Francis injured, no chuck. How are we going to keep fielding a competitive roster out there? At least a high draft pick might be rewarding.
We have a competitive backcourt, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough to keep us out of the lottery. Making the lottery wouldn't be so bad in my opinion. You sacrifice a year in which you're probably not going to win anything in favor of a possibly very good 1st round pick. ------------------ Rocket fuel pumps through these veins...
Small backcourts do not make for NBA champions. You need BIG people to make it happen. We are lottery bound. DaDakota
Might be a long season now but I wouldn't trade any key, young players cus I don't think anything we could do now would get us much better or farther in the playoffs. I'm all for getting these kids playing time and letting them gel now. Even with Hakeem coming back, Charles was our leader and gave the most out there. I hate to think of all the rebounds and energy we no longer have. But I am just now starting to think about these things - it really is just so shocking for this to happen to Chuck. I can't believe it. Season-ending, wow. "Big Fella In The Sky ended it in Philly." SaluteCharles = bballfanatic
It is unrealistic to even think about the playoffs now, IMO. Ther is no way this team without Charles Barkley can go anywhere this year. The best thing I think the team can do is allow Hakeem to heal for a very long time. I think it's called "the San Antonio Plan."

The Freak, There are exceptions to every rule. Most of the championships are won by BIG people. Jordan, Bird, Johnson, Olajawon, Duncan, etc..etc... Yes, Detroit won 2, but as I said, most are won with ALL Star BIG people. DaDakota
