I would love to see the Rockets make the playoffs but it seems that we can't beat the top western teams(Unlike last night) and will likely get swept in the first round and we also will lose lottery pick. I know we want to impress Webber but i think we have impressed enough already. Almost taking a bunch of second, third year guys to the playoffs is pretty remarkable. By the way, I hate Cato more than any other Rocket EVER. I really like Taylor but i beleive that he is very inconsistent, However if we don't land Webber and sign Taylor then we must have a MUCH better center than Cato for the future. I miss Hakeem [IMG]. During the Summer, we better trade Cato because he's just pitifull.

The rest I won't speak to, but as for the lotto pick we'd keep this year: If we miss the playoffs, we'll pick 13th and give Van a top-15 next year; if we make the playoffs, we'll pay the 17th pick to Vancouver and have no debts next year. Picking 13th is nice, but paying out a top-15 next year or the year after is going to hurt.

    Juan,
that's a good point. Frankly, I'm less confident in the strength of this draft. I think some good players will come out, and there sure are a lot of big men, but people keep saying how this draft will be insane with talent. Giving up a top pick in this draft may not be as painful as we think.

If we can get Battier with the 13th its all worth it. I really think that his percieved value will fall once some hyped hs kids declare and some other underclassmen with crazy athletic ability or potential. That's good for us!
