Great! Maybe they won't go after Moochie anymore now.

    Interesting ...

Refresh my memory, do the Mavs still have Howard Eisley on their roster?

They sure do. However they have been shopping him all summer. They are hopeing to lanf Tim Hardaway. El-Amin would become the third PG.

Yes, they have Eisley signed to a huge contract that ends after the 06/07 season. I don't understand why they have so many guards on their roster.

I don't understand why they have so many forwards on their roster - or so many centers - heck lets just ask why do the mavs have to have so many players??? They can't all get PT can they? Oh well, I guess if Cuban pays them then nobody else can play them against him...

The Mavs signed El-Amin and D. Martin. And they're still hoping for Tim Hardaway.

    1. I think this is great news in negotiations with Moochie. I was afraid that the Mavs would push his value abnormally high, but with 5 or 6 other PGs, they can't possibly still be thinking of Moochie. So, we should get a reasonable price on him.

    2. What are the Mavs thinking? Nash, Eisley, Satterfield, El-Amin, Martin and maybe Hardaway for the PG position? Cuban said he wanted training camp to be a war and I suppose it will be. But Satterfield and El-Amin (I'd guess) can probably expect to be cut and have to sign with someone else once the rosters have to be reduced to 12 people -- or do they want to spend the season on IR? More than wonder what the Mavs are thinking, I have to wonder what El-Amin (especially) was thinking. He very well may find himself out in the cold when the season starts.

Some of the Mavs boards have speculated that Cuban is buying up contracts for trading flexibility. The Mavs are interested in Tim Hardaway and picking up a backup center. There has been talk about the Buck's Scott Williams.

Pretty good plan if you ask me. That would help out a team like the Heat. They could sign & trade Hardaway to Dallas, and the contracts they get in return are minimal contracts for only 1 year. That way they can avoid the luxury tax, and possibly get some good players in return for a player they no longer wanted anyways.
